I think it's about time to admit to the one thing I haven't wanted to, but I am so far out of the HP fandom it's uncomfortable. That creative spark I used to have for it has fizzled and popped. *POP* This isn't something new. Most of you, by now, have noticed that I only talk about real life happenings and Merlin on this journal. I love all my HP flisters. I comment on your journals all the time. That's not going to stop, but that burning, flaily love I used to have is just dead.
Dead I say.
I doubt it is going to come back any time soon, but who knows, right? I sure don't.

I mean it.
I've had three-ish hours of sleep today and am about to embark on a mythical quest to the land called Middle School where I shall defeat the noisy children with absolutely no finesse! After two and a half hours of this nonsense, I get to read two PDF print outs and slay the evil reading questions. Having accomplished such a momentous task, I'm off for another quest to the Sociology classroom in the evil gym. Coming back smelling like dubious carpet cleaner, I shall tackle the inevitable challenge of a personal reflection on an interview I had well over a month ago.
Said feat ending in just enough time to race to the bowels of Nicarry, where I shall sit in a Foundations of Inclusive Education class for two hours and try not to nod off.
Can I have a nap?

1) Now that Trish has been temporarily Tony Destro'd™ and banned from the lunch table, she is going to have to have herself a seat with the Science Sluts®. So I ask those of you with Science Sluts (+ their boys), how will you react to the new addition to the table? I have a mini-narrative I want to write, but I don't think that will happen. Since all the narratives I plan don't actually happen.
2) Speaking of Trish, Sarah I need to do a log with you I think.
3) Talking to Nat, we have decided that it's hilarious that Andy is friends with Adam and Sally, because they are so lame and un-hip. I have no idea why he doesn't throw a kickball at their faces. Ironically, of course.
4) Xandros is very much looking forward to his not-date with Phoebus. He might even do something with that mop on his head. Raina when you are done with your hiatus, we should discuss. It's also hilarious to me that he didn't realize no one knew he was gay. Oh well, everyone knows now.
5) Billy is not too upset with Erik for what he did. I'm not sure if this is a bad thing that he's not more pissed at him. He's trying to have Erik's back at least, since a lot of their friends are going to be hating at him. I guess he and Rob have something else in common.
6) Very close to hitting the Lou Lopez RPWRIMO Run-off Challenge©. I just have a little over a thousand words to go. I am very excite. Hopefully I will hit that today or tomorrow. I have a narrative for the Gollums Tonies that I must write, and a log for Nat that I must tag. So things look pretty good there.
7) It is almost 3 a.m. I have no good reason why I'm up except that I was watching FNL (love the new characters, except stupid Becky), and then Nat imed me when i was about to go to bed. And I am a sucker. This post is so retarded.

So, rpwrimo.
I did not make the goal, but I felt that I did a whole butt-load of writing this month. That was very good for me to try. I've noticed that my writing has gotten a lot better, and it's easier for me to write more. In most writing forms I take on, I'm always an extremely concise writer. Essays, fiction, etc. Which was the entire point of the exercise. I got very close, though with 25,868. I'm very proud of this! The breakdown is here.
I probably would have made it if I kept a running word-count, but I didn't want to turn it into a thing where I would just massage my writing just to make my word limits. There's also the fact that I basically fell off the last week of November.
Maybe next time, eh?

It's quiet here, which is strange. Usually when Aunt Marygay invites us all for Thanksgiving - meaning me, Johnny, Reed and Ben - I can't hear myself think. Johnny has disappeared, probably off trying to charm some girl, while Ben and Reed are off in the garage trying to create a device to alter Ben's DNA, even for a couple of hours. I offered to help, but I think I got in the way of male-bonding time. I guess I could be using the time to work on the next phase of my final project - research and development, translation: a lot of typing.
I miss everyone. I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving back at the mansion or with your families at home. I'll be back on Sunday!

I need help! I plan on writing a grand and glorious teacher!au fic for Merlin. My question is this: what is the hierarchy in the school staff in public education in the UK?
For example in public education in the US we have: support staff, special education, general education teachers, vice principal, principal, superintendent and other administrators, school board and upward into the state and national government.
I have attempted Googlefu to no good results.
Anyone know?
