[The words rise after a moment of silence, both Zero and Hei speaking within the space between. Amnesia...something Yuuki can relate to all too easily. It's painful and frustrating, but even still she can't shake off Saya's own words.
Doesn't have the right to exist? Can she really mean that? She's really...going to say this to her? Teeth grind shut, a fang peeking out as Yuuki all but growls, her aura beginning to spark and burn. How ironic that Saya would say something like this, particularly now of all times. If anything frustration reflects back, a dangerous glare lighting in her eyes, fiery and hot.]
Who in the world decided such a ridiculous notion? You don't have the right to exist? What gives you the right to make such an outrageous claim...?
[She's moving before she has time to even think of her actions. Charging forward, she reaches down and drags Saya up from the ground, the air around her sparking with electricity. Her short hair whips up chaotically as her voice rises.]
You were born, weren't you!? It doesn't matter how you came to be, you still exist! For that very reason alone you're part of this world!
[They aren't just monsters or anything of the like. Just because they're different doesn't mean they are inherently bad. They can still feel, still love -]
Don't you dare tell me that people like us have no place here!
[The tree beside her begins to creak, cracking along with the frustration and anger flowing through her, but she barely pays it any mind. Of course it would have been impossible to have missed the glance between Saya and Hei, or the unusual relationship between Zero and her, but all of that only strengthens her conviction.]
Don't you think I understand? Of course it's sad! To live such terribly long lives, there's going to be sorrow and sadness! [But even a life cut short could experience pain beyond measure and loss. They aren't exclusive to it. All she needs to do is inhale Zero's presence to be reminded of the kind of tragedy he's dealt with and continues to live through. Yet that's not all life has in store.] There's happiness, too!
[Throwing her arm out, she points to Hei firmly.]
This person is important to you, isn't he? How long have you known each other? Long? Or how about Zero?
[She shakes her head, fingers returning to either side of her shoulders, frustration and upset clear in her voice, eyes creasing as she stares at the other girl. Don't be like them, Saya. Don't be like those purebloods who simply give up on life. Her heart clenches.]
Even if they disappear some day, isn't it better to have known them, even for a short amount of time!?
