Of course I want this to be a safe event. I know many members of the Defense Force are planning to be in attendance for our protection and also to have fun I hope.
By the time of the event it will already be the evening of the new arrival's second day which means those serving two days with the ball and chain were almost complete. For those serving three it was still a little over half their time. There is always going to be some risk, but I wouldn't want people to live in fear or paranoia of what might happen. I think we should take precautions, but also extend some trust and good will.
[She's a little worried that might not be enough for Acumen though and rather than hear a rejection, she adds one more possibility.]
If you don't think having the Defense Force there is enough maybe the people choosing to go to the prom and asking to have their chains removed early could agree to have a screening first? Similar to the people who join the force or who are allowed to adopt pets?
