[Video | Open] Slightly backdated to lunch-ish
[There is much joy to be found in Valentine's Day, but for Lacus and other Coordinators it's also a day of remembrance. Mourning, if you will, for the 243,721 people killed when Junius 7 was destroyed. This is why she is walking through one of the graveyards, among the rows of identical markers, a bundle of white flowers in her arms.]
[Soft music plays (courtesy of her haro Pink, who is holding the camera as he sits atop one of the gravestones) and Lacus begins singing, her voice strong and sure, hopeful yet sad. As she glides through the rows, each marker is given a single flower. These aren't people Lacus knew, but that doesn't matter. They too deserve to be remembered.]
[Once she's done singing, she'll be happy to hear from anyone. She wonders if Shinn is listening...]
In the cold depths behind the curtain,
You sleep alone.
The melodious voices of prayer,
Shine a light onto the lonely fields.
I had a dream of you,
You were laughing like a child.
Familiar yet distant, that is the future's promise.
Someday, on a green morning, someday I will get there,
Because I believe in this desolate winter sky.
Fields of hope
I'm searching for those gentle hands,
That embraced me on the day I was born.
A single voice of prayer disappears,
And I start again, continuing by myself.
Someday, moving towards a green morning, I will overcome the nights,
Because that is a place that I have to find alone.
For now, I just want to warm you with my chest.
Familiar yet still distant, the tranquility we strive for.
Fields of hope
Familiar yet still distant, the promised fields.
Fields of hope
