Day 204 Party/Mini-event announcement
Next week, in-game Day 204, a birthday party is being held in Sector 6 for Dirk, Jake, and the now-absent Roxy. Because the alpha kids are such outgoing social butterflies, everyone is invited (a mass invitation was sent out on Day 201). It starts at noon and will be going until everyone is all partied out. (Probably around five at the latest, considering the area it's being held in.) Food and beverages will be provided, but no alcohol.
Of course, since Dirk Strider is involved this was never going to be a typical birthday party. He and Helix have cooked up a plan to test the wardens' ability to sense what's going on in Sector 6. They'll be assaulting some innocent Sector 6 inmates. Since Helix has a wristband, he'll be charged for his own crimes. Dirk's another story! All told, he's going to commit one assault during the party, and everyone who's in the sector at the time will be charged with the crime unless they're wearing a monitor wristband. Furthermore, anyone who's already committed assault before, whether in Sector 6 or not, will receive an escalated punishment.
If your character wants to attend the party but you don't want them to get charged, feel free to say they happened to be out of the sector at around 1:30, as that's when the crime will be committed.
The possibility of getting charged with assault isn't the only thing you have to worry about, of course. Sector 6 is highly dangerous. The party will be set up in an area free of environmental hazards (though it's more than possible for someone to get hurt on the way to or from the party, or if they wander off), but the inmates there are liable to attack and raptors will probably show up, too. Dirk's going to do his best to keep the party area safe, but you are more than encouraged to have your characters get injured.
Also, Haunt and Rica really don't want to thread out all of the interrogations that are sure to happen, so Haunt asked me to direct everyone to the IC rules page to fill out the punishment form and receive their sentence.
