EVENT INFO: FAST FORWARD
Tired of the same-old of every day life? Curious to see what the future may hold? On Day 411 (January 16-22) you'll get the chance to do just that in our Time Hop Event. Twenty years have passed in prison. Physical changes and fake memories have been implanted to fill out the gap — what's your character doing these days? Are they still crushing on that other person? Is their hair turning grey? Have they given up all hope of escape, or are they still fighting the good fight to get home? You decide!

Will they remember this after the event? That is up to you, the player! You can have them remember everything or nothing or perhaps some of the things, like waking up from a dream.

Don't want to grow old? That's fine. You can stay in present time with your present memories, gawking at all these old timers that used to be your friends. Lucky.

I have some ideas at least partially outlined for Kitty. Your character can accept as much or as little of what she knows to be true about herself as you want! She'll think you're experiencing a glitch if it isn't lining up with her world view. There's nothing to prove her version of events is real and in the places where someone else should be able to disprove it she'll just come up with reasons for that the way your mind does when it is incorporating sounds from the RL into a dream.

PHYSICALLY
— 40 years old, looks mid 30s.
— Hair is longer, falling past her shoulders, brunette, wavy. She wears it down or in a bun.
— Outfits are more professional.
— Still in excellent shape.

HISTORY/STATUS
— She married Chekov 17 years ago and kept her last name.
— Chicago, her dog, died years ago.
— They have a tribble (who can't reproduce) named Pushistyy (It means fluffy in Russian.)
— The Defense Force no longer exists in it's original form, but they were able to overthrow the wardens. After much work it was determined there was no way to send anyone home or anywhere else because everything about the system was set up as a one-way trip and they would destabilize to reverse it. They were able to stop the system from accepting new people, but they were unable to rejoin minds to the virtual reality who weren't already part of it. It was eventually decided they needed to stay in their suspended states in virtual reality because of their limited resources, though there was always someone monitoring them physically.
— She sits on the Liberation Council, the MarinaNova government, which she also helped found.
— She has taught several courses over the years including various languages, electronics, dance, and self defense.
— They still rarely, but occasionally have glitches resulting in strange events.
— The mistletoe bots are no more, but they do have a yearly tradition of hanging mistletoe.

SEEKING
— Anyone else who might be interested in sharing and expanding any of the prison backstory I outlined.
— Coming up with relationship arcs/events/connections (past and present) for our characters together! The good, the bad, and the ugly!
— I'm also very open to people contradicting her backstory which can just come up in game play.

	Yes, good! Warhero friend? Also, Ton and Ianto. Where are there friendships now? I see Ton is still pranking Kitty, yes good. Every more comfortable? I'm failing at being creative. Yes, war hero friends and happy things sounds good to me. I feel like Ton maybe wouldn't be directly involved I. The government but still always sticks his nose into things anyway. And yes I'm happy with Ianto being good with her. They all need happy things. Want to assume he would be on the Coucil? A transfer over from the Investigation Team when the DF shut down?

	I am down with this! It's funny how many details about things I keep thinking of and how many will probably never actually be relevant to threads. I just need more things to inform the last 20 years. I'm kind of into it! Like she and Ianto should have coffee days where they go over reports and gossip or something. 	No I am completely doing the same thing right now and not just because I'm bored at the airport. Like all these ideas for what their lives were. And yes they totally do coffee days and talk about boys and Phanan was obviously her maid of honor at her wedding and stuff like that. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

The backstory idea of finally overthrowing the wardens is pretty cool! Although I'm fairly sure that A'oran is going to mock the idea of calling the government of a prison in which they are still trapped the "Liberation Council."

I don't have anything major to add, but my characters would be willing to help with the overthrowing part if possibly (they aren't tech savvy but time record is good for holding things in place is need be). Also would the Council be the first and only iteration of a government or would it be like...the latest in upgrades as they work out the fine kinks?

I was seeing it as the first, but also one that has evolved over time. And sure! I will have Kitty remember that they helped with the overthrow.

I honestly don't even know how much it will come up through the course of the event. It's one of those things where I just wanted an idea of what she's been through and how things have changed and where she'd be now. The prison has changed so much since the first time it was introduced that having it stay stagnant for 20 years didn't make sense to me so I got here. Where it made a certain amount of sense while not requiring sweeping changes that wouldn't line up with what everyone else was experiencing. And I liked the idea of taking that idea back with her to present day once the event ends. Plus, she's thought about how maybe a government is something they need before but never done anything with it.
