Group Therapy Info/Plotting
On Day 340 there will be another mandatory group therapy day sponsored by the wardens in an effort to improve the mental health and curb the criminal tendencies of the inmates!
Your character will ICly receive a message telling them they need to report (or be forced there by bots) to a group therapy session (locations determined by the poster of each group) to talk to other inmates. They will be given some ice breakers and exercises they can use to get them started or for them to mock and ignore. Here are a few, but please feel free to develop your own. The message will make it clear they can leave sooner if they are talkative and there will be bots to make sure they get there and stay there.
It's your choice (not your character's) which groups they attend. Groups can be any size and run as mingles. They can also be seemingly random or run by topic like "addicts." Although the activities and people in the group may lead a character to believe they are in an addicts group there won't be anything in the message that says so explicitly. You can assume your character is being forced into as many sessions as you want, but they are welcome to attend others voluntarily.
Some inmates may remember how last time group therapy happened eating the provided food caused them to be more honest and vocal. There is once again food, and it is perfectly safe for consumption!
However, some (maybe all) characters will gradually feel more relaxed and forthcoming. In fact, they'll find it increasingly more difficult to lie or even hide the truth. Alarming! Except that feeling of relaxation makes it harder to be alarmed. Harder to want to lock themselves in a closet away from others. Effects will taper off toward the end of the day and be fully out of the system by Day 341.
But if it's not the food then what? Um, you're in a pod somewhere. You can't really stop the wardens from messing with you. That's how it goes. Sometimes they'll have a cute delivery system and sometimes it's just luck of the draw. No one is immune, but you can opt out of it nonetheless. It just doesn't make your character special in any way.
If your character dodges group therapy (which will be hard because of the bots looking for them) you must go directly to jail. Er, the IC rules page to sign up for the crime of missing an mandatory warden therapy session.
Questions? Ask them here.
Plotting? Do it here! Just like last time you can propose a specific type of group and be the one to put up their mingle post complete with themed ice breakers.
Groups (and counting): Family Issues • Loss/Grieving • Dead Back Home • Post-Traumatic Stress • Not-So-Normal
