Event: Strange Relations
By now, we're sure a lot of you inmates have made little families of your own here in prison. Romantic relationships, adopted children or parents, friends you consider as close as siblings... maybe you're even lucky enough to have some blood relatives here with you!

For the day of 331, you might just find yourself with more relatives than you had going to bed the night before.

What's happening?

Whether it's a malfunction or just the wardens trying something new, the interpersonal relationships of the dome are being messed with. Siblings, spouses, perhaps an estranged father or beloved aunt — your character may wake with memories of any of these. To them, things have always been this way. Maybe they've only exchanged pleasantries in the grocery store before but today, that shallow acquaintance has always been a cherished family member.

Of course, this doesn't mean that anyone else's memories of this particular relation have been altered. You might remember that person as your father, but that doesn't mean he does — and even if he does, the rest of the dome probably won't!

What kind of relationships can we do?

Whatever you feel like! Spouses, siblings, parents, uncles and aunts, whatever you feel like! If you want to pair up and play a married couple for this event, go ahead! If you want to play through the confusion of being accused of siblinghood when you're sure you're an only child, that's great! The nature of the relationship can also range from loving and amiable to estranged or even bitter rivalries!

Plot with each other and have fun!

Punishments?

For the duration of the event, the sex restrictions will see some leniance. After all, the wardens can't play matchmaker with people and expect the sudden spouses to not take advantage of their marital rights!

Opt out?

If you're unable to play during this event or just wants to watch the family reunion burn, it's easy enough to assume that your character remained unaffected. No hard feelings!

I would love to get involved in this. Jack is such a lonely character (yes, I know he knows a lot of people, but he doesn't let many of them that close) that it would be really cool for him to have a family, even just for a day!

I am wide open to offers of wife/husband, siblings, children, aunts, uncles, cousins, hell, even parents if we wanted to do a timey-wimey thing as I think most of the people here are younger than him.

For the record, I'm not intending to pick up any of the threads I had going before my mega-long absence, as I think they're all too far back now to be relevant, but if anyone does particularly want me to keep tagging, just let me know and I'll do my best. I still don't have a lot of confidence about my ability to actually tag much, but I'm hoping the interest of this event will get my creative juices flowing and help me get back into the swing of things. :-)

	Current list of relations: Kitty (AOA) - wife - mutual Chuck - sister - mutual Kanji - son - from Jack's POV only I'm very very open to him being related to anyone else who would like to be related to him! (Reply to this) (Parent)

	Okay, I know absolutely nothing about Varrick except what your userinfo says (sorry, I haven't had much time to read back through threads lately!) but it certainly looks like he and Jack' might have some traits in common! 	Hmm, I feel there ought to be a way to make that work interestingly with the fact he's now married to the other Kitty, but I'm not coming up with anything... You want it mutual or one-way? 	Heh, I'm sure he'll make it up to her. He's probably on such a high of enjoying having a family he'll be happy to 'adopt' her into it even if he doesn't remember it on his side! :-) I have a thread for him at the picnic if you want to send her in there, or we can do something else?
