[Her voice is querulous, like a child trying to hide fear behind anger. She's been here for over a week now and it's beginning to sink in that she really is trapped here, that Xander isn't coming, and that once again, she's going to have to rebuild her life from scratch. She'll deal with it, but she needs a little time to sulk first.]

I don't like this device. It's bulky and unattractive and strange. It's true, you get what you pay for, and this was free. But how am I supposed to pay for something nicer in a place without money?! Something smaller, with nicer form. Something that doesn't make me feel like I'm in a bad science fiction movie.

And of course, I can't even choose to not wear it because so many people here don't speak English, or even any of the most basic demonic languages. It's stupid. If you're going to abduct people from all different universes, you could at least cast a basic translation spell so that we can understand each other. It's really not that hard. [Harder than she's making it sound, maybe, but hush, she's trying to be helpful!

There's an odd little trilling sound and Anya shrieks.]
