This time yesterday, I had several jumpers.

Now, three of them are missing. <*fail!erase>The cat ones.<*/fail!erase>

Has anyone else experienced similar disappearances of the jumper variety?

<*fail!erase>I'd rather not get Sherlock involved, he'd say a mystery like this is beneath him.<*/fail!erase>

John, whoever had disposed of those jumpers has done a service to the world.

As it happens I like those jumpers.

It seems irrelevant whether you like them, considering as they are now gone.

Yes, and I have a very good idea of who made that happen.

You have no evidence. Your accusation would never hold in court.

Of course, because Sherlock bloody Holmes would never dream of committing anything less than the perfect crime, even when that crime is something as ridiculous as jumper theft.

I'm going out, not that that will stop you from talking to the air.

Why would I bother myself with anything to do with your jumpers. As awful as they may be, they don't deserve the effort of any premeditated theft.

<*fail!erase>John, where are you going?<*/fail!erase>

Fine.

Why should I tell you where I'm going? Deduce it.

Would you want me to?

It's broken, apparently. I've noticed mind doing the same thing.

<*fail!erase>You make that sound like a bloody proposition...<*/fail!erase>

Not really, no.

It hasn't been doing this on mine before now.

<*fail!erase>Should it not be that obvious?<*/fail!erase>

I'm bored. Let's have dinner.

You mentioned that you wanted to go out.

Yes, I did want to go out. With a bird, who I might have a chance at getting off with.

You don't really fit the bill, Sherlock.

Thank you. I'm touched by your belief in my charms.

Considering the number of women you had gone through recently, anyone with higher brain function could determine that you're not quite a charming man.

Sherlock, the number of women I've gone through has nothing to do with my charms and everything to do with my association with you.

I believe the one that ended on Christmas had more to do with the fact that you couldn't remember that she wasn't the one with the dog.

And why do you think I couldn't remember that? Because I was constantly with you rather than her. I might actually be able to keep up a relationship if you didn't insist on inserting yourself where you're not wanted.

I quite recall something different, especially with the last few. Don't blame me for your failure with relationships. <*fail!erase>Our partnership has lasted quite a while.<*/fail!erase>

You might not be to blame but you're certainly a contributing factor.

Our partnership might be relevant if we were in a romantic relationship, but as we're not, I don't see what it has to do with anything.
