Who: Elsa and Open What: Holiday confusion take II Where: Walmart When: Friday afternoon Status: Open; Incomplete Rating: TBD
Now that Qrow and her were in agreement of where they stood, Elsa felt better about putting her attention on the process of settling into this world. While she knew he would help her with whatever it was she required, Elsa was stubborn in that she liked to learn things for herself. Obviously, when you understood almost nothing about what you were trying to learn or how to actually begin, it was far from easy. Elsa knew some things about Madison Valley, but the world in which it resided was still quite large and quite the mystery for the Queen of Arendelle. Though she could only learn so much from Madison Valley, she wanted to absorb as much knowledge as this town could provide her with even if coming to understand it by herself was difficult at best.
Shopping, while different visually, remained somewhat the same as her world. You still had to pay for goods and while there were not separate vendors, paying the cashiers was something Elsa caught on to after her first trip. Oh, wandering around and asking who was the vendor for the strawberries had comprised a good portion of her first trip, but eventually, after many a strange look, Elsa was told she had to pay the cashiers and that there were no "vendors" present with their goods. It turned out this was a huge part of the battle when it came to understanding shopping in this world and Elsa was relieved to have figured it out so quickly. However, the contents of the store still confused her, like clothing and shoes. She'd purchased a few dresses since her arrival and shoes too though it was hard finding her size in either garment. Also, there was the technology that Elsa had barely begun to grasp and frequently found herself surrounded by upon visits out of her apartment in general.
Then there were holidays and while not as confusing as technology, their significance in this world remained confusing to her. For one, there were so many more than her world had and all of them seemed to involve parties and gatherings with different types of decorations and food. Apparently, one such holiday was coming up tomorrow called the Fourth of July. It was the country's birthday of sorts and involved buying lots of flags and red, white, and blue things. Currently, Elsa was leaning against her basket, trying on a red, white, and blue top hat carefully. It was...silly, but Elsa was trying to become part of things here since there was no guarantee she would see Arendelle again.
