'A Gathering of Shadows' OOC

So this is a little late in coming but I am SWAMPED with finals so Gwyn needs to have a little hiatus of about...a week and a half longer. :'[ Considering I've been MIA this doesn't really affect most people but I thought this post needed to be done.

Now back I go to wondering why I chose grad school.

 I'm apologizing for being scattered right now. I'm behind in a couple classes (my brilliant fault for getting a prereq waived) and it's killing all my time for fun and games. 

So... don't think I'm not up for games or fun or whatnot, okay? I just don't feel right posting up the attack-the-castle thread when I won't have time to deal with any replies possibly and that wouldn't be fair. 

And Afton would like me to relay that she has strep throat. She should be available on AIM later but uh, don't expect her to be all that coherent, plz.

My term paper's due date got moved. It moved up.

By a week. A week that shouldn't matter so much but it does. .Omfg it does. Especially with two tests this week, another paper due and a presentation that's already due next week which should be a group effort but is a solo affair thanks to my having a partner who thinks it's totes okay fo let me do EVERYTHING.

So uh, I might be slower until next wednesday. Maybe not. I don't know. It could happen. Please forgive me and don't think I've forgotten things and if you want to poke me to make me remember that I owe you  tags please do, okay?

I will be on vacation from 2/15 to 2/22 inclusive. While I am away I will have very limited access to email.

An apology of sorts. My illness has attacked me out of the blue and I've been MAJORALLY out of it the last few weeks.

What have your characters been up to for the last 3 months? We're skipping ahead to the day before New Years.

I'll be putting up the beginning of the New Year post in the community in... oh, 24 hours. So you can comment there with summations or comment here and we the mods will put it in the summary.

Okay, so how far in the future do you want to go? How long will your current schemes take to get interesting? 

Will there be new plots emerging in the middle?

(and can we just declare it Month x of William's Reign or something? I'm blonde. I don't want to count to big numbers. And all the months can arbitrarily be 30 days and if we all get fiendishly detail-involved we can have a rumpus in the Citadel and Septs about changing the calendar so the seasons go back in order....)  And yes I totally just used the word rumpus. That word needs more love.

For instance: we're on day 73-ish. so... 2 months it would be  13th day of Month 4, 

Oh, and New Years ought to be somewhere around 2-3 months away. Ish.  So do you all feel like skipping to New Years? Or skipping past New Years? Rewinding time and space and dancing around in lingerie while Tim Curry sings?

also... is it just me, or can we puh-lease call a skip-ahead in the game? Jaehaerys needs to get out and do the guerilla thing, but since we have no guerrillas it'll be sort of lonesome.

do we have anything that needs to be done right now- aside from, uh, you know, someone going to look for the twins. Which Jaers will be doing as his cover for going to play guerilla...

or is this where we just reboot the whole game and start over?

maybe we can just start declaring war?

And would someone get with me about assassinating people. I WANT A BODY COUNT. A Stark body count. It's not Westeros if someone's not killing Starks.

I'm sooooo sorry, guys! Internet died and then I got turned into a newt the plague. But I'm better now. :D

So, to prove that I have not been forgetting all about all of you, I'll be putting up a Kaelyn thread so can one of the Williams please tag into it? Because I really think that uh, the king and queen should probably discuss this disappearing act their kids have pulled.

And then an open Kaelyn thread.

I'll try to get to an open Jaehaerys one too. and Lex, I tagged into the Jaers/Toria one! don't murder me!! Jaers will make out with people if it keeps his mun alive. He can take one for the team, unlike Kaelyn who just wants to huff around and glare imperiously at all and sundry...

Hey everyone! I'll just give you a heads up to let you know that I'll be out of town and internetless from Sunday(ish...?) to Thursday(ish). This will depend on weather and roads and all that jazz but I will be getting Xmas presents so yay.

Since this thread seems to have died off, I figured I'd post something so that people can discuss what sorts of shenanigans their characters might have gotten up to during and after the party.


Tymor - though he was interested in finding someone to have sexy fun times with, he was also looking out for his aunt. And an offer from another man would have resulted in him politely declining and leaving. ^_~

Toria - playfully flirted with whoever flirted with her, though she took care not to promise anything. Also, found that the alcohol served was much stronger than she'd been expecting and got perhaps just a wee bit drunk.

Jaehaerys is bored. His mun's family is terribly depressing- no one's having screaming matches or taking over neighboring nations. In fact the only piracy so far is someone making off with the last bit of pie. ...

So. Something to do?
