Dear Mattie,

I don't want to interfere or anything, but I don't know if you should get involved with the improv team. I really don't like how this Kilroy guy treats women and I'd hate to see him start giving you problems as well. Please don't think this is me trying to cause any problems. I just don't know if it's a good idea.

Sincerely,
Billy Jameson

PS - I'm the guy you met in the showers last Thursday.

Kingdom University vs. Hanna-Barbera College. [
August 9th, 2008 @ 11:04pm
]

Sorcerers Rock The Mystery Machine.
Many of us were wondering if the Kingdom University Sorcerers were going to start this season off as well as they ended their last one. And while the crowd of KU students, faculty members, and fans that came out seemed to enjoy themselves, Hanna-Barbera looked like they'd have rather been anywhere else by the time the first half was over. The Sorcerers racked up racked up 169 yards in the first half on the way to a 21-3 lead. Hanna-Barbera managed to score one touchdown in the second half -- a 47 yard pass from Norville Rogers to Johnny Quest closed the gap to 21-10 with 8:43 left in the game. Junior Bruno Petit led the Sorcerers in tackles, with a total of 16. Junior quarterback Julian Armstrong put the Sorcerers in the lead for good after rushing 31 yards. And just when it looked like Hanna-Barbera were going to make a comeback, freshman running back Billy Jameson intercepted a pass that set up the next KU touchdown. With a final score of 28-10, the Sorcerers definitely know how to start a season off right.

YET ANOTHER PHONE CALL TO ROBERT FOX. [

WHO: Robert Fox and Marie Fitzwalter.
WHAT: Backfired plans!
WHEN: August 5, late evening.
RATING: G.

A marked contrast to her mischievous tone earlier, Marie simply sounds despairing. "Hey, sorry to call so late." "Mortified" works, too. When Marie's in distress, her politeness goes into hyperdrive. Worriedly, "I didn't wake you up, did I? Is this a bad time?"

FROM: Student Government Association (sga@kingdom.edu)
SUBJECT: Get Well Banner for Richard Riley

This summer, SGA President Richard Riley, elected in a landslide victory to serve this academic year and beloved by the entire Kingdom University community, was involved in an automobile accident, the after-effects of which still keep him in the hospital and in serious medical condition.

The friends, family and SGA colleagues of SGA President Richard Riley have organized an effort to help support him in his convalescence by setting up a large banner for members of the faculty and student body to convey their well-wishes for a very speedy recovery. The fifteen-foot banner for SGA President Richard Riley will be posted outside the SGA offices on the wall of the second floor in the Union on Central Campus for the next ten days in order for what will undoubtedly be thousands of signatures, which will later be delivered to his hospital room once the signing time window is complete.

Pens, pencils, markers and glitter will be provided by the SGA in order for all signatory parties to express the depth of their wishes for SGA President Richard Riley to recover and return to Kingdom University and assume the position to which he was so overwhelmingly elected as soon as possible. Please come by and show your support for a great brother, leader and friend. Many thanks in advance.

WHO: Robert Fox and Marie Fitzwalter.
WHAT: After Harold is meen to her and her ~lowly~ gender, Marie has a suspicious question for Rob.
WHEN: July 31, mid-afternoon.
RATING: G.

"Hey, Rob, it's Marie." The usual spring in her tone isn't there today. Instead, there's something distant to her tone, as there sometimes is when she's planning something elaborate. "The lab in the psych and sociology building -- they have to repair the security cameras in there this week, don't they?"

At approximately 10:31, two beat cops will come knocking regarding the noise level, having had some complaints from the neighbors.

And approximately 2 minutes after that, on being let into the house, they will begin to perform a naughty striptease for the birthday girl and her guests. They have been paid extra to make Julian and Meg feel especially uncomfortable. :>

SUBJECT: Move-In Guidelines for July 29-30

Today (Tuesday, July 29) is the first move-in day for freshmen and Honors students in the Coronado and Great Floridian residence communities. Tomorrow (Wednesday, July 30) will be the move-in day for all other on-campus students in Key West and Port Orleans residence communities. Please keep the following information in mind as you move into your rooms:

  • Move-in hours are from 9 AM to 9 PM. Before moving into your dorm room, please sign in with Resident Assistants stationed at the front desk of every residence hall to verify your arrival, and pick up your Kastle Key, or electronic key that will permit you to enter the dormitory to which you have been assigned, as well as your dormitory room. Moving in after the scheduled times will incur a monetary penalty and may affect housing eligibility for next year.

  • Large plastic carts will be provided to help you transport your belongings in bulk up to your rooms. Aside from carts, you are largely expected to carry your belongings up to your room yourselves. Each residence hall has at least two elevators, which shold facilitate ease of transport. Exceptions will be made for students with documented disabilities: please ask a Resident Assistant if you fall into this category and require additional assistance to bring your belongings up to your room or suite.

  • Floor meetings to discuss resident life guidelines will be held by Resident Assistants in all dormitories the day after all move-ins end (Thursday, July 31). Attendance will be taken, and attendance at each floor meeting is mandatory for all, even if they are not first-time residents on Kingdom University property. Penalties may be incurred for failure to attend. Exact details meeting times are left up to the discretion of the Resident Assistants, who will tell students when it takes place during move-in.
