I've had it! You! Take off your pants! [23 Nov 2008|05:22pm]

Friday Afternoon

Roxas was, without a doubt, slowly going crazy being stuck at home ALL DAY. He was almost wishing for school by Friday afternoon. (Which was bad, because the weekend was coming up and there would really be no school to escape to) He was feeling much better, yay for healing fast. Maybe not ready to go running a marathon, but certainly well enough to go to school.

He hadn't seen Axel at ALL since the break up, and Riku only a little bit when he dropped Sora off, and picked him up to go where ever it was they went. Roxas didn't know, but one time Sora came back practically glowing. And walking a little funny, for some reason. It made Roxas fumingly jealous and angry for some reason, and he didn't understand why.

The fact the Riku was over right now didn't help anything. In fact, Roxas resolved to stay in his room until both of them left. Yeah, that was it.

.....

Except he was hungry. Damn. Well... he'd just run through the room quickly.

Famous Last Words [21 Nov 2008|09:42pm]

hottandontop
Axel had sat in the park for nearly 2 hours before he'd finally reached a conclusion. Everything seemed to be leading up to this, and even though it was the last thing I wanted to do...it was really the only thing he could do.

He took a deep breath before opening the door, and heading inside. He didn't see anyone in the living room, but he could hear mother in the kitchen. "Hey, its just me." He called out to her, so she didn't think someone was robbing the house, and he headed down the hall to Roxas' room. He knocked on the door, before opening it, sticking his head in.

"Hey." He said, unable to build up the strength to even force a small smile. "We need to talk."

Is this home [18 Nov 2008|09:50pm]

Monday

Roxas woke up on the couch to the sound of game controllers being thrown and a wrestling match ensuring with laughter and protests and hisses to be quiet or they'd wake Roxas. Well it was too late for that.

His eyes slit open to see Riku pinning Sora to the carpet, a game over screen up on the TV.

It had been noisy like this pretty much since he'd come home on Saturday afternoon. He's spent some of it getting reaquainted with the house. It was nothing like he'd imagined, or he'd remembered from the last life. The kitchen was small, but cosy, and smelled good. The living room had a big cushy couch, and a chair he expected mom took more often than not so that she didn't have to fight for space. He got to walk through Sora's room (it was missing a window) and look at everything (he saw Mr. Wuzzlepant's twin), the closet and the turtle, and then his own room. It kind of looked like things he'd like... but he didn't know.

The oddest thing was the pictures. Hung up around the house, there were the one of the two chubby babies, the school age children, and formal high school pictures he thought were probably taken last year. There were pictures on the refridgerator; christmas, and at the beach, one of them both hugging their mom, Axel and Riku's school picture from 9th grade (he'd checked the back). In mom's room, there was her wedding picture, and a few more of himself and Sora. Sora's pictures in his room were of himself, Roxas, Kairi, the turtle, Namine, various group shots, and Riku. There was a particularly nice one of only Riku, framed, that had been living on Sora's desk. Roxas had taken it and hid it in his room. Sora hadn't asked where it had gone yet, and Roxas wasn't keen on returning it.

The pictures Roxas found in his own room were pretty similiar to Sora's expect they had more Axel and less Turtle.

When he'd gotten home on Saturday, mom had told him to get some rest, and he'd been able to for a little while, until Sora came home. Because Sora brought Riku with him, and the too started goofing off and making noise that woke him up, inspite of mom's threats.

Sunday had been similiar, except they made a lot of noise outside. Eventually they got sent off somewhere (probably Riku's house) and then Sora came home for dinner. Monday had been blissfully silent for awhile while mom and Sora were at work and school, but after school brought Sora home, and Riku came with him. Roxas had moved out into the couch, just for a little human company, and had fallen asleep for a bit. But he should have known that those two wouldn't have been able to be quiet for long.

As Roxas watched, Riku smiled at Sora, who was still trying to throw him off, and then leaned down and slowly kissed Roxas's twin. It was too much to watch and Roxas rolled over so that his back was to them, making noise so that they'd realize he was waking up and would stop... that.

Visiting the deranged mental patient. I mean, brother. [08 Nov 2008|08:54pm]

somebody_nobody
Sora, after having finally woken up and bullied Riku into also getting up, and eating breakfast at their leisure, made Riku take him to his house to get Roxas some things. It took him a while to choose what to take, but in the end he grabbed Roxas' ipod (and the charger), a couple of his comic books, a photo album from last summers trip to Long Beach (everyone and their families had gone) Mr. Wuzzle pants (which had to be extracted from the top of the closet with Riku's help) some clothing, Roxas' favorite shampoo AND conditioner (He was particular. He didn't even share it with Sora.) and threw it all in a backpack.

The two of them stopped at Axel's house, and awkwardly got Momo to give them some of Axel's clothes. Sora felt weird touching his underwear, but that's what he was given. It went into the backpack. They picked up the two girls, who had a gift of some of Roxas' favorite cookies he liked, and headed to the hospital.

Once they were in the waiting room, Sora stopped the group and turned to Riku. "Do you want to stay here, or do you want to go with? Apparently, he requested you specifically in his list of stuff to bring, but Axel said he wanted me to leave you at home." It was up to Riku what he wanted to do. Sora had no qualms about making up some kind of 'Riku doesn't feel well' story.

Moring at the Hospital [14 Oct 2008|11:14am]

shadowedhearts
Roxas slept a whole lot. Doctors and Nurses came in a few times during the night to check on him, and they were slightly amused to find Axel there. But they didn't move him. Roxas seemed to be sleeping well, and Axel wasn't impeding Roxas's breathing so they left them be. As long as Roxas didn't slip back into a coma, which was unlikely, Axel would be allowed to comfort the other boy as he wished.

When Roxas did wake up again, he felt very disorientated, and reached out for... something. What was it? "Mmm?" he called, his eyes half closed.

This and that and Moms [04 Oct 2008|01:11am]

somebody_nobody
Sora and Riku eventually made their way back out to the waiting room, where they acquired Mom and Kairi. Sora felt less than cheerful, but Mom felt and looked at least a tad optimistic. Riku had to take everyone back to his house, Mom's car was there, Sora had to stay by his side, and Kairi well, she just came along because she was Kairi.

Alex was cuddling on the couch (same one that Riku and Sora had been cuddling on earlier that day) with her wife, watching the news, waiting for their son to get home so they could kill him and hug him and maybe kill him some more. When the door opened, she called over the couch, "That better be you, Riku!"

Chit Chat with Roxas [29 Sep 2008|01:40pm]

shadowedhearts
Roxas was many things. He was confused. He was adjitated. He was half convinced that he was going crazy. But he was not stupid. The people in the room were all worried about him, he could tell that. Needlessly, he thought, but still worried. Like when Sora always put on a smile even when he didn't feel it, because he needed to so that other people wouldn't worry about him. Pretending to sleep was Roxas's version of that smile.

He stayed 'asleep' while everyone left, and continued when the woman they said was his mom came in and told Kairi what was going on. But once she left, he opened his eyes to look at Kairi. She seemed a little surprised to see him away, but gave him her own smile back.

"Did you hear all of that, Roxas?"

Roxas nodded and took a deep breath. It made sense, but didn't make sense. He remembered being Roxas, Number 13 of the Organization. And he had Sora's memories, complete with feeling what he had been feeling, with the addition of a heart all his own. But all of the stuff he'd apparently known for... however old he was now? Gone.

"I know this must be really hard for you, Roxas," Kairi said gently, "But we're all going to do our best to help you. You remember Namine, right?"

Roxas nodded. How could he forget her? He'd only known her a short time, but because of her connection with Kairi, the Sora in him was drawn to her.

"Namine is my sister now. My twin. Like you and Sora. We all go to school together, at Domino High. Its not just us, though. A lot of people have been reborn. Like Axel, and the rest of the Organization. They're not bad people. Some don't even remember, I think. Or, if they do, they've decided to forget. One of my friends is like that, Tidus. We were friends on the island, before."

"I remember Tidus," Roxas said softly. He could see him in Sora's memories. Scrawny, blonde haired boy. They'd practice sword fighting together. He was never as good as Riku though. "I'm sorry to hear that."

Kairi shrugged a little and gave Roxas's hand a light squeeze. "It's okay. We can't punish someone for something they did or did not do in another life. This is a brand new chance. And if Tidus is not our friend now, maybe the life after this one will be different."

Roxas nodded. It made sense, but still... he'd been their friend. He wondered if his own friends he'd made in Twilight Town were around. He'd very much like to see them. "So, are you and Sora...?"

Kairi giggled. "No, silly. It's Sora and Riku."

Roxas blinked several times, trying to process. "Sora and Riku?" But it made sense... how close they'd been standing, how Sora pulled him away when he'd touched Riku, and his memories. His Sora memories. Sometimes watching Riku for no good reason other than he was there. Appriciating the way the light caught his hair, and the color of his eyes. Frowns when Riku teased him, awkwardnesses, the relentless persuit, how upset he'd been with Riku when his best friend began drifting away from him. With this knowledge, Sora and Riku oh man, it all made SENSE now! "Wow."

"Personally," Kairi said with a smile, "I wasn't surprised."

Roxas lay his hand over his heart. His inner Sora was... jealous? He thought about how Riku had leaned his forehead against Sora's, and anger-resentment-envy popped up. Jealous. What a weird feeling.

"Roxas, are you okay?" Kairi asked, a little concerned, and Roxas instantly put on that Sora smile.

"Just fine," he promised. "Tell me more about my mom?"

Good morning Sunshine! [27 Sep 2008|01:53am]

hottandontop

Axel had gone to see Roxas again, the second he was out of school. He'd sat there, holding Roxas' hand for a while, and talking to him. Just pointles stuff like what happened at school, something funny Demyx had said the night before, what kind of date he was going to take Roxas on when he woke up. Just stuff to keep him talking. The doctor had said that some people in coma's could hear you, and it helped. He really had no idea if it was true, but he'd try anything that might help.

"Remember that one time, a couple summers ago, right after we met? We were all at the beach, playing volleyball, and Riku said something stupid, that made Sora trip. That was the first time I'd seen you laugh so hard, and the sun was shining behind you, making you practically glow. Your eyes were bright, and there were some freckles on your nose. I remember staring at you in awe, and I remember thinking, 'Oh, so this is what love feels like.'" He held Roxas' hand in one of his, and was brushing the fingers of his other hand over his wrist.

Operation: Make Zexion smile Day: 1 [24 Sep 2008|09:42pm]
hottandontop
Demyx hurried out of his Creative Writing class, not wanting to talk to Axel. He'd actually managed to make it to school today, but had been in a nasty mood the whole time. Plus...he had somewhere to be. He stopped by his locker, gathering whatever books and whatnot he'd need for his homework, before heading over to one of the chemistry classrooms, cautiously opening the door, and peeking in. There were still a few students in there from the last class of the day, who were gathering their things, but none of the club members. He spotted Vexen talking to one terrified looking girl, who sounded like she'd done really bad on some pop quiz or something.

Vexen noticed him, and narrowed his eyes before telling the rest of his students to hurry up, gather their shit, and get out of his hair. They hurriedly complied, and soon Vexen and Demyx were the only ones left in the room.

"You came back." Vexen stated, suspiciously.

Demyx just nodded, and went over to sit down on the couch. He wasn't going to let Vexen intimidate him, he had a plan, and was on a mission.

"The others will be along shortly." Vexen explained, carefully taking the tea cups out of the cupboard. They'd already replaced the broken one. Vexen kept glancing at Demyx out of the corner of his eye, infinitely curious as to why he was there.

"You came alone again. Didn't want to bring any of your friends?" He asked, hoping Demyx would slip up, and reveal something about his plans with Axel. Because, surely this couldn't be a coincidence.

"I thought that went against the point of the club?" He asked. Wasn't this about being antisocial, or something?

"Hmph." Vexen turned away to go put the water on to boil.

Zexion just wants to have fun [22 Sep 2008|03:04pm]
somebody_nobody
Zexion admitted that his life was dull. However, he didn't perceive this to be his fault. Yes, he disliked social interactions, but that was by fault of the other people. He didn't take responsibility for the fact that human creatures were boring, shallow, and unintelligent. Maybe he had a parent complex. Maybe he had psychological issues.

Then again, maybe he was actually looking for someone who could keep his interest, in more than a 'you're really fun to screw with' sort of way. Having a heart didn't end up being all it was cracked out to be, and he felt as if he would be better off without it. He didn't have a whole lot of positive emotions anyway, and without a heart the occasional pang of loneliness would go away.

Zexion always ate lunch by himself. He was eating lunch right now by himself. He had a book so, it was alright. At least no one was bothering him where he sat outside with his sack lunch (why would he ever eat things from the cafeteria? It couldn't be good for you) on a bench under a tree.

Days go by.... [14 Sep 2008|11:40pm]

somebody_nobody
It had been two-ish days now since the accident. It was Thursday afternoon, and Sora was trying to finish his homework at his house before he went to see Roxas. He was sitting at his kitchen table, but he was having trouble concentrating.

Sora's Mother, having gotten off of work already, stopped by Riku's house, knowing that Jessica would be home. It would be nice to check up, Mother to Mother, on the state of their sons. Mother was worried about Riku a little (not as much as Sora was) so she felt it best to do so.

She knocked on Riku's front door politely.

Only girls know best [12 Sep 2008|01:02pm]

Riku left. He just left. Exited the hospital and just kept walking. It wasn’t like he had too much of a choice, seeing as how his car was still at home. But he didn’t mind the dark, cold walk. His thoughts chased over themselves, and he tried not to let any of them catch up with him.

He didn’t know what to do now. He couldn’t go home, and he couldn’t go back. He was stuck between them, just walking.

Sora.

Roxas.

Sora.

His every heartbeat sounded like Sora’s name. His heart was angry at him. Wondering why he’d taken it away from Sora’s. It hurt. But Riku tried to ignore that. He deserved to be hurting for what he’d done. Sora was always telling him he needed to keep his temper in control. To be more patient and not get so angry all the time. But he’d always blown Sora off. Too cocky, too proud. And now Roxas was paying the price. (Along with the guy who’d died.)

Roxas.

Once Upon a Time, Roxas had been Sora. A piece of Sora. Before Roxas’s consciousness got its own heart, he’d only had the ghost of Sora’s. Did that mean, Riku wondered, that Axel might love Sora? If Roxas died, would Axel and Sora find strength in each other, sharing the understanding of their loss?

A few minutes later, a nurse came into Roxas’s new room where the brother and friend were, and announced, with a very confused look on her face, that there was a girl named Kairi there asking to see Sora.

In which Riku's life falls apart completely [10 Sep 2008|04:58pm]

shadowedhearts
Riku was half asleep again when a man with a clipboard came into the room. He didn’t seem to care about the boys in the room. Indeed, he barely glanced over at them before going over to Roxas and taking note of whatever the beep beep beeps meant.

The man checked Roxas’s eyes, and attempted to communicate with him, and Riku found it useless at the moment since Roxas was obviously sleeping and waking him up would just make him shout curse words and stuff. But who was he to interrupt?

Until, of course, the man went and stuck a pin under one of Roxas’s fingernails.

“Hey!” Riku called. “Don’t do that to him. He’s not a pincushion. Who do you think you are?”

“The Doctor,” the man replied calmly as he continued to check Roxas.

Riku wanted to know this Joker’s name incase he needed to report him for malpractice. Who needlessly inflected pain on a kid who was asleep? “Doctor Who?”

“Precisely.”

Harrier of bad news! [03 Sep 2008|01:25pm]

somebody_nobody
Claire hated this part of her job, reporting accidents to family members. There they were, calmly waiting for their loved ones to come home...and then they never did. At least there were no deaths.

Claire visited Joey's house first, his driver's license was under his Father's address, and she reported the accident to him. He didn't look as horribly worried as he could have, and Claire was glad he wasn't a mother, and took it calmly, getting in his truck to go to the hospital. Joey's Dad also called his Mother, who headed to the hospital with Serenity as soon as she could. The three of them met up in the waiting room to sit a little awkwardly and wait for news about Joey.

At the Sora/Roxas household, Mother was reading in the living room and Sora and Axel were playing video games in the walk in closet with grease playing in the background.

Claire pulled up in her squad car and climbed out, Roxas' wallet in hand. She knocked on the door politely, and waited for Mother to answer. Mother looked at her curiously. "Hello, officer? What is it that I can do for you?"

Claire opened Roxas' wallet. "Are you Roxas' Mother?"

Mother looked more confused. Fear started to creep into her heart. "Yes, I am. Is something wrong?"

Claire handed the wallet to Mother. "Roxas was involved in an accident. From what we could tell, a car swerved and hit the bike he was on. Himself and the other rider Joey have been taken to Domino General Hospital. It would be best if you could go to the ER as soon as possible. There was another boy that rode with him in the ambulance that I didn't identify. I'm sorry."

Mother thanked her quietly and closed the door once she was gone. She put her hand over her mouth and the tears started to come immediately. Mother walked slowly to Sora's room and opened the door to the closet.

Sora looked up from his game. "Mom? What's wrong?" He scrambled to his feet. He had just been commenting that it sure was taking Roxas a while.

Mother just shook her head and showed Sora Roxas' wallet. Sora took the wallet curiously, not sure what was going on. "Mom, what's going on?"

Mother was shaking a little. "A car hit them. We have to go to the hospital. A car hit them. Roxas..." She couldn't say any more.

Grandpa must DIE [02 Sep 2008|03:14pm]

shadowedhearts
Considering how school had gone the previous day, Riku had a better day today. There had been no detention, no avoid Sora, and no drama class, mainly for the reason that he hadn’t set the alarm clock and had very happily slept through the class. Which was, of course, followed by Roxas waking up and freaking out that they’d over slept. Riku calmly told Roxas to shut up and stop yelling. Roxas had a boyfriend with a vehicle, Axel could get him to school. Riku, meanwhile, took his time and drove back with Sora to his own house to get his uniform, and then went to school, just in time to completely miss first period. The impromptu make-out session in the car helped ensure that they wouldn’t see any of drama class. Take that Marluxia.

After school, they’d gathered Kairi and Namine for two hours to hang out at this ice cream place (and it had really looked like some kind of double date and this one old lady waitress kept cooing over them until Riku leaned over and solidly kissed Sora. She’d blinked a few times, and then smiled and commented about kids these days. Which then made Kairi hit Riku on the head with one of the menus on the table because now it made it look like she and Namine were dating especially because the girls were sharing a treat and EW! Namine was her sister! That was just wrong. It was, however, the first time she’d actually seen the boys really act couplely towards each other, and proceeded to tease them the rest of the afternoon until Riku had to go home because the stupid dog had to be walked, because his mom and dad were both working late. Which sucked, because he had wanted to spend some more time with his friends.

But no, Riku was stuck walked the dog he wished his parents had never bothered to bring home. They had thought it would be good for him. But Oliver was just an annoyance. Like now. How could a fire hydrant really be THAT interesting. “Come ON, Oliver.” Riku pulled harder on the dog’s leash.

The Society of Humans Against Community Tolerance on a Purely Social Level [29 Jul 2008|01:20am]
hottandontop
Demyx left his class, feeling determined. He'd flipped through the dictionary- that the cool guy from the club fair had let him borrow- a dozen times by now, and had decided he was now ready to give it back. He still had the flier he had picked up that had the meeting times, and location written on it.

So now, he was standing outside the chemistry classroom, suddenly feeling incredibely nervous. He finally took a deep breath and reached out turning the door handle. All at once three head's turned to regard him.

"Uhm..." He looked at the three nervously.

There was a loveseat and two armchairs set up around a coffee table, where at the center was set up a bunsen burner, with a tea pot over it.

"I...uh....hi?" He said nervously.

Vexen stood up.

"Can I help you?" Demyx cringed at the man's voice. He bet this guy ate babies, or something. He was just that scary.

"I, uhm. I wanted to check out your club?" He held up the dictionary, and turned his gaze to Zexion giving him a hopeful smile. "I looked it up?"

Don't EVEN think this is suspicious. CAUSE ITS NOT. [08 Jul 2008|12:59am]

Sora very happily held the pie on his lap as they made their way to the hotel that Riku had picked. It was a decent hotel, and not someplace icky, so Sora was happy. Besides, the pie smelled really good.

Sora got his bag out of Riku's backseat when they got out, balancing it and the pie, as he followed Riku into the lobby. It was only a few minutes to check in, and the girl at the desk smiled at them very politely. It didn't feel shady at all, despite the fact that it was going to be.

"Um, could you maybe send us up some plates, and forks, and a knife?" Sora made to sure ask, and the girl told them it would be no problem. She even asked if they'd like wineglasses and wine. Which they didn't.

"You did a good job," Sora complimented Riku as they rode the elevator upwards and found their room. It was pretty nice, nothing fancy but it was decent. "I always knew I had a smarter boyfriend than some people I know," Yes, he could say boyfriend. It wasn't THAT weird, he guessed. Sora put the pie on the small table inside and plopped down on one of the beds. "I claim this one," he decided, pulling out his phone and texting Roxas the room number.

Sora smirked as he stared at the ceiling. "Hey, remember what happened last time we were in a hotel together?"

The Internet is for Porn [30 Jun 2008|10:19pm]

shadowedhearts
After Riku was hung up on (he'd only been playing! Couldn't Sora take a joke?) he changed his clothes again, wrote a note to his mothers that he was going over Sora's and didn't know when he'd be back, and climbed out his window. He didn't want to risk going past the living room and being subjected to their laughing and teasing. Sometimes, no matter how much he loved them, they were really too much. If one wasn't teasing him, the other was. And it was HORRIBLE when they both started teasing him.

So Sora house right now seemed like th best escape. Riku called up a few hotels on the short drive over to Sora's and was just finishing his reservation as he pulled into Sora's driveway. He really wasn't sure what to except from this evening and whatever Sora had cooked up in that head of his, but he was certainly curious.

Riku knocked on the door and stood back, waiting impatiently.

This is my ANGRY face [24 Jun 2008|07:25pm]

shadowedhearts
After skipping PE, Roxas had decided that skipping school for the rest of the day was a good idea too. He was becoming a real delinquent since he started dating Axel. Skipping school, setting animals lose, going to jail, getting high, and now skipping school again. Actually, the past few weeks had been pretty misbehaved.

He'd gotten into the house with his key and had padded around the kitchen, eating anything he found that sounded slightly appetizing and the stomped off to his room with the bowl of fruit from the table and a box of granola bar.

He'd sulked in his room, alone and stuff, and had locked his door so that his mom wouldn't come barging in and bother him. He also put on some headphones and turned up the music really loud so that it blocked out all other sound.

At some point he knew his mom got home, but he was pretty sure that note on his door threatening disembowelment to anyone who bothered him was why she was staying away until dinner was ready.

As for why Sora wasn't home, making a huge racket in his room, Roxas didn't know.

What more can you do to me?: Detention [18 Jun 2008|01:06am]

shadowedhearts
It had only been force of will that made Riku go to his next class after theater and not just duck out for the rest of the day. He felt like everyone knew about what had happened (and really, how many gay couples were there in the school? When one had issues, everyone knew it). How was it any of their business? They didn’t know what they’d been through, what Riku had been through.

Inspite of what Sora had said, Riku managed to avoid Sora during lunch. It hadn’t been that hard. He’d just waited until the rush of students out the door had caused enough of a distraction for him to summon a path through the darkness. One minute in his computer science class, the next across the campus.

Sora might have looked for him during lunch, but Riku was an expert on keeping track of Sora without Sora knowing where he was. He was able to keep his distance just fine during lunch and was successful in not being found.

Art class though, the last class of the day, and the only other one he had with Sora, was harder to figure out. There was very little hope that Sora would actually leave him alone during art, and there wasn’t really very much room to move away from him in that class. Plus it was a class where absolute silence wasn’t required. Sora WOULD try to speak to him.

So Riku simply solved the problem by skipping the class. It was only art. He was pretty sure he could still pass if he just missed one day.

He hung out in various places… the darkness, the empty cafeteria, the parking lot, the tree he and Sora usually had lunch under; until it was close enough to the end of school that he decided he could go see Marluxia.

He knocked on his teacher’s door and tapped his foot impatiently. He just wanted this whole day to be over.
