Who: Lily, Frank, and Dirk
What: A walk
When: January 18th, afternoon

Lily decided to just put herself out there and expand her circle of friends. She didn't want to put Remus in awkward positions anymore and she was tired of crying in front of James. Severus was wonderful, but she couldn't talk to him about most things because he was likely to hex her silly for even considering liking James. And Charity.. well, she ahd done nothing wrong but the thought of facing her at the moment was a bit much. Thus, her current circle of friends was a bit chaotic.

So here she was, waiting for Dirk and Frank to join her in the common room. They were going on a walk without much of a destination, just the goal to remove their feelings of being cooped up.

Who: Marlene and Sabine
When: Thursday night, after dinner.
Where: Gryffindor Tower, 7th year girls' dorm
What: Suspicions confirmed?

Marlene was exhausted. Only nine o'clock in the evening, and she was already pajama-clad and lying in bed. The dorm was empty, so she was taking the opportunity to read ahead in her pregnancy book (although she was only eight weeks along, she'd read halfway through the second trimester). Every now and then, she'd pause and scribble a note in the composition book she kept on her nightstand. She had so many questions! The book was a great resource, but she really wished she had someone to talk to. Someone who could offer advice and reassurance.

Honestly, she wanted her mother. She just couldn't bring herself to tell her.

Who: Alecto and Sirius
What: A date
Where: It's a secret.
When: January 12, late.
Rating: PG-13?

Alecto was laying on a table in the Great Hall, which was currently empty as all students were asleep. She looked up at the star-filled ceiling, mesmerized by the specks of light blinking above her. It had been difficult for her lately, with the looks she had been getting. After coming to the conclusion that it wasn't just her imagination anymore. True, she had told Sirius to tell his friends and be honest, but word seemed to be traveling a little too quickly for her tastes.

Who: Lily and Severus
When: January 14, evening
Where: A walk around the castle
What: A chance to forget, if only for a moment.
Rating: PG

Lily stood outside of the Slytherin entrance, waiting for Severus to come out. True, she had gotten there rather early, but she was impatient. The sooner she got to see Severus, the sooner her mind got off of James. At least that is what she hoped would happen. He had always managed to help her in the past when it came to James, but that was typically when she was complaining about him harassing her or something. This was different, something she couldn't tell him about or he'd completely blow a fuse on her.

She and Severus had still been suffering from their fight last year, and she could practically hear the word Mudblood with his snarled, angry voice spewing at her. It had taken her some time to move past it, despite his apologies. Eventually, they both came to terms and pushed it away, hoping to just forget it completely. But their friendship had definitely suffered. They weren't nearly as close as they used to be. These days, with her madness, it seemed like no one was around for her to just spill her heart to. The only female she could think of to talk to was Charity, and she was a part of the problem (not that she blamed her. Well, maybe a little.) Remus was a HUGE part of the problem, him and his wolfy issues. And James, well, that part was obvious enough.

But whether or not she could actually spill herself to Severus, he always knew how to make her feel a bit better. (When he wasn't calling her a Mudblood, anyway.)

Who: James and Charity
When: January 13, 1977, after dinner
Where: Library
What: study and date talk
Rating: G-PG

After dinner, James went directly to the library to finish up his Charms homework. He never got much done in the commons, and the dorm room was never a good place for him to focus. Besides, he'd have his reputation all arsed up if anyone actually realized that he did study and do his work. Not that things weren't arsedways from here to eternity as it was. James kept to himself mainly for the last few days except for his meetings with Dorcas. It was better off that way since his mouth had opened faster than his brain had kicked in more times in this past week than he could ever have imagined.
After he finished his work, he sat and waited hoping that Charity had gotten the owl he had sent earlier. He hadn't spoken to her since their little chat with Lily, and that little cluster just went so beautifully. He hoped that this meeting would be smoother. Though, the way his luck was flowing, he wasn't too sure.

Who: Caradoc and Dorcas
When: January 13, 1977, late afternoon
Where: out on the lawn
What: just some random meeting
Rating: G-PG

The boy was up in a tree, his body held up by tree branches as he lounged in Mother Nature's arm chair, thoroughly absorbed in his Defense Against the Dark Arts book. He swung one leg lazily to and fro as he turned to the next page, although just the sheer act of reading on a quiet, peaceful Sunday afternoon was getting to him, and Caradoc felt his eyelids grow heavy.

Before he even realised it, the boy had drifted off to sleep, and discovered far too late a few moments later that his book had slid off from his chest and was plummeting downwards to the ground below. Alarmed to wakefulness, Caradoc nearly fell out of the tree himself as he rolled over to one side and yelled to whoever was passing by beneath him, "LOOK OUT BELOW!"

Where: Courtyard
What: Rosetta is quietly doing homework. Feel free to distract her!
Rating: TBA

Rosetta Quincy had spent her day rather uneventfully--attending classes, finishing a project for Potions, and paying a visit to her younger sister. Nothing too out of the ordinary. She had recieved a letter from her father and a package of sweets from her mum, and had already written replies to both.

All that was left was homework.

She had chosen a sunny little bench to complete her work. It was chilly, but with a warming charm and a plush scarf, she was set. It was nice to have a few moments alone to herself, in all honesty. Time to think, which she did too much of. The ability to people watch instead of actually working.

It was just how she spent her time.

What: Desperation, and possibly a few epiphanies
Rating: PG

James sat on the floor by the fireplace, one leg curled up by his chest, and the other stretched out almost touching the hearth. He had Lily's present wrapped about his neck, and he stared as if mesmerized into the fire. He whistled a Muggle punk song softly, and leaned his head back on a cushion of a chair. There were a lot of things rolling around in his mind, but he wasn't going to bring them up tonight. There didn't seem a point to. Everything would work out, eventually. Speaking of which, where was Evans anyway? Why was she so late?

Sirius wasn't just a name, it was a concept. James let that thought roll over a few times in his mind hoping that it would soothe his irritation with his best mate. The dolt not only intentionally lied to him, but he betrayed his trust as well? First by dating the slag in the first place, and then by telling Remus and not him? But, through it all, James had to chuckle. Sirius' spontaneity had won out other times before this, and it could just be that. That meant, if another smokin' bird came flitting his way, he would be just as attracted and distracted no?" Just then he saw Dorcas Meadows walking into the common area. Sweet, pure, the complete opposite of that slutterin. Perhaps? Maybe?

"Dorcas! Haven't spoken to you in quite a while. How was your break, love. Do tell me all about it."

Who: Ted and Andromeda
When: January 11, 1977, very late at night
Where: out on the pitch
What: broom-racing! What else?
Rating: G most likely

She waited until all was quiet in her House before she ventured out again, broom at hand, using the same route she did the night before when she wandered out onto the lawn. Tonight, however, she was in a lighter mood than she was the night before, now that she knew that in the very least, James would be looking out for Sirius. The girl had to admit that she felt a bit of guilt when she told James what she and Sirius had discussed over the holiday, although now that she thought about it all, it made her feel better that at least one of his friends knew about it as well. Relationships and dating were all fun and games, although it's not often one would sit down and consider the fact as to whether or not one was about to throw oneself out of the fire and into the frying pan.

...which is a little bit like her situation at the moment. She, a Slytherin of known pureblood descent, going out to meet a muggleborn Hufflepuff out on the pitch late at night. Then again, Andromeda knew that she did not stand much of a chance to be corrupted by the boy she was meeting tonight. At any rate, she was out here to have a bit of fun, so she quickly pushed all other thoughts out of her mind as she walked up onto the pitch and looked around for Ted.

WHO: Amycus Carrow and Sirius Black
WHEN: Friday afternoon, January 11, 1977
WHERE: The Great Hall
WHAT: Amycus feels the need to threaten discuss Sirius's intentions for his step-sister.

For a fifteen-year old, Amycus was probably one of the more intimidating ones. He was tall, with a fair amount of muscle, thanks to Quidditch. But the thing that really gave him his confidence was his aptitude for curses. He'd promised Alecto, though. No hexing.

Amycus had every intention of keeping his word to Alecto -- that is, treat Sirius Black civilly. However, he felt it his duty as an older brother to...firmly inform Black that if he hurt his sister in any way, it would be his arse. Not threaten, per se. Just a fair warning. And so lunchtime found Amycus waiting to snag Black as he walked out of the Great Hall. Alecto didn't know he was doing this, and he hoped to keep it that way, as she had already gone ahead to the dormitory.

As Sirius drew level to Amycus standing by the doors, Amycus caught his attention. "Black. A word?"

Who: Alice and Open
What: Relaxing
When: January 10, 1977 - Early Morning
Where: The Lake
Rating: TBD

It was a clear morning at Hogwarts. The sky was cloudless, and the weather was nice. Normally Alice wouldn't have been up this early, but she had went to bed quite early the night before, so it wasn't too big of a surprise that she had also woke up early. Not that she minded too much, she liked to get up early sometimes.

Alice, not being the indoors type, had decided to take advantage of the fact that very few people would be awake and take a walk down to the lake. She grabbed the book of her nightstand and had headed down to the lake. Once there, she had found a nice tree to sit under. Alice stretched herself out under the tree, the morning glow trickling through the leaves. Alice took out her book, opening it to the dog eared page. She must have read that Auror book about a thousand time, or at least close to it, but it was a good refresher and something to do.

What: James confronts Sirius (about his "girl") and Remus (about "his girl")--belated Snape Birthday conversation.
Rating: PG-13? May change.

James went out early to the pitch, he needed some flying time. Somehow, he hadn't got enough practice in since they've been back at the castle, and he was feeling it. He was out of balance, both mentally and physically, and he needed some time to think. There were many accusations that were being flung around carelessly, and although sometimes amusing, they were not too helpful in causing anything but total chaos. After a bit of trying out some new maneuvers, and a hearty work out, James showered, and sat himself on one of the benches in Hagrid's rose garden. He pulled out a mirror out of his robes and called to Sirius. "Rise and Shine. Bright eyed and bushy tailed! Wake up, you big pillock. Come on, get out here and bring Peter and Remus. I'm feeling lonely, and we need to talk about our birthday present to Severus. We're late this year."

Who: James and Andromeda
When: January 9, 1977, very late at night
Where: out on the lawn
What: an unexpected encounter leads to an unexpected conversation.
Rating: no higher than PG, I'm sure, as is the usual for me.

She couldn't sleep. This was beginning to become a normal routine for her, this whole being unable to sleep. Yet, unlike during this past holiday, she didn't have the city to wander around in. The closest thing she had to that here in Hogwarts was the lawn outside, where the odds of her being disturbed would be little to none. To further tempt her, the blue-green hues of her dorm only made her think about the lake, which was outside.

Rising carefully from her bed so that she would not disturb her dormmates, the girl draped a heavy dark grey cloak over her nightgown, slipping her feet into a pair of boots, and quietly tiptoed out of her dormitory. As a Prefect, she knew she shouldn't be up after hours on nights when she didn't have her rounds, although the girl could not help but feel that when it came to certain things, the school was willing to turn the blind eye toward, and felt alright about her wandering outside at this hour.

Once she was outside, she crossed the lawn and walked up to the lake, staring into its glassy black depths, musing over the fact that just beneath the calm waters were her Housemates, soundly sleeping. For the most part, anyway. She drew her cloak closer around her slender frame just a bit more as a gust of chilly winter air blew past her, whipping her long hair all about her face. What she hadn't anticipated on, however, was the soft trudging of feet not too far from where she stood, and the girl turned around to see who this unexpected company was, a mildly worried frown forming on her brow.

WHO: Wilkes and Molly
WHEN: January 9, 1977, evening after dinner
WHERE: Coming out of the Great Hall
WHAT: Wilkes is looking for some excitement.
RATING: TBD

Having been forced to actually do a Transfiguration essay himself, Wilkes had spent several hours in the library and had lost track of time. As a result, he had been late to dinner, and most of his friends had already eaten and left. Wilkes didn't like eating alone, but there was nobody he deigned to bestow his attention upon at his table.

This was proving to be an incredibly boring day, and Wilkes decided as he left the Great Hall that it was in dire need of spicing up. First order of business was to get some decent company. He stuffed his hands in his robe pockets and pondered the possibilities as he strode through the Entrance Hall.

Lily had tucked her journal into her bag that was slung over her shoulder. She kept it with her now, just in case she needed to write about what was going on. She walked down the quiet hallways, knowing that there wouldn't be very much mischief. It was, after all, a tuesday night.
