I'm not willing to let go of this game yet.. So I gotta know... Are we dead? I haven't seen anything happen for awhile, just wanting to know whats up.

Right guys, I have two things in this modly mod post :D

Firstly - character activity.

I will be running a check in the next two weeks, and those deemed inactive will be removed following a warning.

And secondly, characters should be campaigning if they want to be Minister of magic, as we will post a vote post soon. The way this will work is that we will put up a post, with all of those who have applied for the position's names on. (If you want to make fancy campaign poster images, by all means go ahead - send them to the mod email :)) Characters can then have one vote each, which will be anonymous, as to whom they would like as minister. Those of us with more than one character will have a vote for each character.

So that will all be happening towards the end of this week as well. Any suggestions (this is your game too!) or questions, Fran and myself are available all the time.

As you noticed I kind of fell off the face of the planet. I truly do blame life - between various RP things across various games, extra work days (that really were an hour or two more, BUT were in the middle of the day!), a fun friday of "Oh you're taking down the 70 year old pine and the 30 year old but still taller black walnuts TODAY?!" and then a MASSIVE craft show on Saturday, I just haven't had my head screwed on. Today the tree guys are coming to finish the black walnut. It sits right next to my lilac tree, my awesome new 6x4 board clothesline, the shed and well the cars, so I'm going to be standing on the back patio, camera in hand, making sure they don't drop it on my shit. (they dropped the top of the pine on their own crane on accident. JUST missed the propane tank. if they had hit that, I wouldn't be here today as I was on the shop roof, just behind the tank!) so if I don't reply to messages, thats why!

Hi! I'm Jackie and I bring you Hannah Abbott. I believe I've played with some of you before, but for those of you who I don't know (and who don't know Hannah), I'll give a brief rundown of who she is and what she's about!

1.] Hannah is a very social creature. She loves to see others in their day to day life and she feels a special kind of happy when someone takes time out of their day to talk to her. She is a self-proclaimed "advice expert" (totally not true, by the way) and would be more than happy to have a sit down with anyone to talk to them about their problems.

2.] She loves drama. Well, she loves drama when it has nothing to do with her. If something dramatic happens to Hannah, she tends to either explode or run and hide due to her inability to cope correctly with stressful situations. For the most part, she can be accepting and understand why things are happening to her, but from time to time her sense of self is pretty crappy and she kind of wigs out.

3.] Hannah would like to have more friends, or just relationships in general. If your kids are bored or just plain friendly (or totally evil, because that's always fun) please, please please let me know. I'm always down for plotting, threading or just general journal banter.

As for me, I'm a 25 year old woman who works at a residential placement facility for adolescents with varying psychiatric and conduct disabilities. I live in central Connecticut (though I'm from Cleveland, Ohio) with my boyfriend (who is a total nerd). I'll usually be on AIM (outthelantern) at night (my only days off are Wednesday, Friday and Saturday) but I am always down to thread whenever. Just leave me a note! I'm really excited to be here!

Okay guys, very sorry for absence! My mac finally bit the dust, and I've been forced to go back to windows. So I'm back on, but I haven't downloaded AIM yet (will be on that asap). But yes, I'm back!

Just a quick note to say I'm going to have to take a short hiatus. Life has been very busy for me this past week with registering for school, taking placement tests, scheduling classes and my few times a week doctor's appointments. I've got a fractured foot along with some nerve damage and every time I go to the doctor - they refer me to a different doctor. I'm not sleeping well because I hurt and with how busy I've been I don't have the time or the drive to be creative right now.

I'm hoping to be back in the swing of things soon!

Hey everyone! Nancy here with character #2! I also play Daphne Greengrass.

This here is Oliver Wood. He's starting Keeper for Puddlemere United and hopes to eventually become Captain. He's as obsessed with Quidditch as he always was and still likes to give long speeches about this thing and that. He's single, has a fun personality and really needs to find some mates to hang out with, fly around with, go to the pub with, etc. He's pretty busy so he really doesn't have plans on settling down with one certain woman (not right now anyway) but he still loves to flirt and appreciates a beautiful lass! Mates and girls will definitely have to not mind his habit of talking A LOT and his Quidditch banter.

Also for those curious: Today was like this.
Woke up at 4am. Got the fairgrounds at 5:30-5:45am to find the show rings .... a soup. Literally. In the deep corners was literally 3 feet of sloppy mud. The track along the rail and outwards to the center about 10 feet was thick, soupy and about three or four inches of solid, gross mud. It was a freaking - POOL -. I ended up scratching four of my seven classes. Because Ive never ridden the pony I was going to ride, I wasn't comfortable trying to jump in that. It was.. ick. horrible. Anyways - I did three classes and took 6th 6th and 4th in two and did not place in one, but considering how thick the mud was and how little time I knew the horse, I'm HAPPY! Enclosed behind the cut is a picture of my boots. This is JUST from riding, folks, I didn't walk around in these. And this is after washing SOME off.

Hello everyone! I am Kat and this is Fenrir Greyback. While I am perfectly nice and normal, Fenrir is anything but. He is crude, crass, nasty and has a tendency to bite small children on the full moon. He'll also bite large adults on the full moon too. He's not picky. He doesn't like any of your characters (There may be one or two exceptions. We can talk about that if you think you have one. :D) and he blames a lot of different people for his life kind of sucking right now.

He's also a bit smarter than he looks and generally acts. Not book-smart but cunning-feral-animal smart. It's how he's stayed free for so long. He can sense a trap from about ten miles off. That's not to say he won't trip said trap but he'll be prepared when he does. :D He can be a bit of a troll in various ways on the journals for which I apologise in advance and he has a tendency to send people nasty 'gifts' because he thinks it's funny for which I also apologise in advance.

I can't think of anything else to say so you can find out all about him here and I am all up for plot/friends/enemies etc etc etc

ETA: Oh, I forgot to add that I've signed Fenrir up for the Grab-Me if anyone feels like having a run in with him.

ETA2: The full moon schedule I'll be using is here. Just something to remember if you use the Grab-Me. You may not want to do that on the night of the full moon. :D

I'm BACK and I'm bringing you the one and only Parvati Patil (no twin jokes! :P) She's working at the Leaky Cauldron as a bar maid currently, hoping for a better, possibly Divinations related job (Lavlav and her should start one!!!) but she enjoys the attention she gets while bar tending! I'm sorry guys. Life got extremely busy over the past week. There is so much to be done, and it seems like no time to get it done in. Nancy, I owe you tags, and I'm sorry. I will get to it. My brain is just going a mile a minute, I haven't had tie to sit down and get it done.

The Minster for Magic position has become available for those who wish to apply and run! This is big news, the first of its kind! The Minister is traditionally elected by the Wizengamot, but this time, all suggested Wizards declined, based on the danger of the position, and the current state of affairs.

This is where you come in.

Your character, if they should wish to, may submit themselves to be added to the Election. Now, the Wizengamot are still filtering applicants, because we can't have every Tom, Dick and Harry running or the voting will be especially skewed, and the resulting Minister might be entirely ill-equipped to actually run the country.

So, if your character wishes to apply, post a comment to this thread. Depending on their grades in Hogwarts, their private records and their current employment, they will be accepted or rejected.

If accepted, you'd best start an election campaign to win votes, because at the end of next month, the characters will be voting for their favoured candidate!
