Who: Tobias and David
When: Early Afternoon, Nov. 9th
Where: Liberty Island
What: Tobias meets someone new after being quarantined
Tobias' happy Halloween wasn't so happy. He roamed the streets, looting at night to find some essentials for both himself and various safehouses. Night provided a rush, a sense of recklessness that was rewarding. It was idiotic to go by himself, but he couldn't find anyone willing to be his comrade for the night. People were too depressed about Halloween. Where they should be, what they used to do. Tobias himself was feeling somewhat depressed about not going on to a pub and getting so drunk, ugly women looked cute. He would have went to the broadcasted Halloween party, but he was afraid kids would be there and he sucked with those little..critters.
He walked for what seemed to be hours without even a noise from an undead. He shot an exploder from far away and that's when he drew an array of zombies. Dodging them was easy since they were slow, but when the numbers became overwhelming, he tried to reach for higher ground. There was a fire escape allowing him to climb, but on his way up, a leaper managed to grab him. But falling on his ass wasn't the shit part. Getting bitten on his upper arm by a shuffler was. He told himself his life was over. He basically wanted to have a glass of scotch and ask someone to do him the favor of blowing his brains out. No way in shit did he want to be one of those flesh eating bastards.
He told a group of scouts he was injured but declined to talk about the bite. Once one of the men decided to finally near make Tobias show the wound, that's when he was screwed. Aiming their guns at him, he just remembered some pissed jibber jabber about how he should have told the truth about being bitten. Now he got to stay in a quarantined area, a man with a gun always present.
Days passed without a fever, without body pain. The only thing ache he sustained was a headache. The bite mark was irritating if anything else. When it was day four, a man simply nudged him out the door and said "Looks like the odds were in your favor." Did that mean he was immune? Possibly. He supposed he should be happy about the revelation, but instead he just was blank for a few days, not talking to anyone, not eating. He pretty much may have been a statue. He even feel asleep with his body upright.
He wanted to go to another safehouse, so he began to walk in tired strides , knowing in truth he wasn't fit to go. On his expedition towards the exit, he ran into someone. Looking behind him, he walked backwards and waved slightly. "Sorry."
