Our latest count shows that we now have 56 writers and artists signed up for Wankfest 2008, and 72 claims. Wow! Suffice to say that your mods are delighted by your enthusiasm.

Acknowledging Claims: Some of you have asked if you will be getting acknowledgments of your claims. We have not been responding individually unless a specific question was involved, so if you don't hear from us, it doesn't mean we didn't get your claim. When sign ups close, we will publish a list of the claims, and if you don't see yours on there (maybe IJ burped or something) we can fix it at that time.

Icons: We are just in love with the icons created by salvadora and its_art. These generous folks have made the icons for all our use, so if you want to use them, please feel free to download them. Just make sure to give proper credit to the creators.

And speaking of icons, having perused the list of Characters claimed, the mods are thinking it would be particularly handy to have some Neville and Weasley icons, and if anyone feels like making more Snape and Harry icons, well, diversity is a good thing. We wouldn't say no to Draco, Luna, Gilderoy Lockhart, the Black Boys, Lupins pere et fils, the Marauders (singly or en masse), Filch, Tonks and the Epilogue kids either. We don't *have* to have more icons, of course, but we thought we'd make a wish list just in case anyone is feeling creative. ;-)

Prompt List: If you're keeping an eye on the Prompt List, you'll notice that several Locations and Objects have been crossed out. This means they have been claimed three or more times, and in the interest of diversity and creativity, we've taken them off the list. Several other Objects and Locations are close to their limit, so if you know folks who have been procrastinating about signing up -- or even if you've been waiting to make a secondary claim -- you might want to give them a nudge. There are scads of great prompts left, but if you've really got your heart set on somethings specific, best to grab it while you can.

Claims: Your insomniac tireless mods keep a close eye on the list in order to keep our info up to date. However, if you decide to change or delete your claim, please let us know. Yes, it's OK to go in and delete your old claim and put in a new one, if that's what you want to do, but please keep us advised. If you claimed 'Dudley Dursley's nose-hair clippings' as an Object, then decide you don't want it, and we've crossed it off the list because *everyone* seems to think nose-hair wanking is a capital idea, then we need to know we can put it back on the list so someone else can have that prompt. I'm guessing that was about as clear as mud, but hopefully you got the jist of it. If you didn't, just ask and clarification will be yours. Eventually.

Response to Wankfest has been fantastic so far, and at last count we're up to 75 claims. That is going to be a lot of wanking!

If you're still eyeing the prompt list to make a first or second claim, you'll note that some Locations and Objects have been crossed off. That's all right though because there are lots of cool places and things left. In fact, below you will find a list of Orphaned Objects and Abandoned Locations, which are places and things that absolutely no one has claimed yet. Not even once! So, if you feel like dancing to a different drummer or even being a bit avant garde, look through these lists and see if anything appeals.

Addendum: We've had a couple of adoptions (Yay!) and I've noted same below, but unless something is crossed of the main prompt table, it's still available.
