I really like fic that features older women, either in femslash or in het pairings. (I particularly like het, because I feel like older women get portrayed as lesbians whenever they get portrayed as sexual beings, but anything that features them is a plus according to me.) I don't particularly enjoy fluff. I like hearing about complicated relationships that have grown up over a long period of time. I like it when magic is an integral part of the story. I think that it's important to talk about the characters as having a different kind of attractiveness - not as being unattractive. (For instance, in a story about Dudley, I would like to hear about the particular sensual feeling of fat, not about how ugly the POV character finds fat.) What I mean is - I like this challenge because it gives us an opportunity to discuss characters that aren't conventionally attractive and envision how they might be attractive to someone, not because it gives us the chance to slag on people. If you follow that rule, I'm sure to be delighted with whatever I get!

I see Poppy Pomfrey as being a kinky thing under all that starched practicality and have visions of her carrying on with Rodolphus Lestrange when no one is looking.

I like it when the Death Eaters are portrayed as humans with thoughts, feelings and emotions. I see them as being proud of their heritage, bigoted, but not as abusive to those they truly care for.

Those hints should point out I like plot. I also like it when the fics are not dark. I am a depressive and do not need further darkness in my world. The fic does not have to be fluffy. AU's are fine and IC is all right if there is a reason for the behavior. The fic does not have to be DH compliant.

A note to whomever is picked to write/draw for me: I will love whatever you create. You seriously cannot go wrong. Look at the list and pick people who you are passionate about and/or would love to write about and then go wild. Let your imagination soar. I really prefer to read fics/view art that is beloved of the author/artist than to read something that is fine tuned to my likes/dislikes. Please do not stress over writing for me! I enjoy genres from light/humour/romantic to the darkest dark fic you can mindfuck me with. Go wild. Have fun!

I’d like to believe that even the less perfect and beautiful among us could find some happiness on their own merits. I prefer adult characters or, at least, characters shown in an adult phase of their lives. Humor is great, so is straight drama, but I’d prefer if things didn’t get too angsty. I’d like a story where things generally go well for the characters involved. In general, my favorite characters are Snape and Lupin. Obviously there’s no obligation to use either of them as pairing partners, here, but I certainly wouldn’t object if you did so. :D

I listed Arthur and Molly as a pair because I don't want them apart unless you explain how that happened. I listed way more than 5/10 characters, though, so I decided this was in the spirit of the game, right? Anyway, so, if you wanted to write fic in which they couldn't go on together/couldn't comfort each other after Fred's death or something, that's okay, but fic in which one of them just up and cheated would make me sad.

I like: Charlie with pretty much anyone (ditto Harry, Percy, and Snape) (but this by no means is intended to indicate I only like pairings that include those--just sayin'); complicated situations; cracked premises taken seriously; conversations (both effective and ineffective; I think conversations in which one party is unable to express something are at least as interesting as ones in which good communication occurs); desperation; hidden depths; belated realizations that require reparations or coming to terms with someone/something; high emotions of all sorts; and kids (belonging to the players or not; cute or snotty or in the way; toddlers and teenagers and ten-year-olds).

And furniture mishaps and malfunctions. I always like those.

I like gritty realism and explorations of the mind. For example, I'd love to see what goes on in Quirrell's mind while Voldemort's inside. Or to get an insight into Binns's daily struggles (is he struggling at all or is he just blind in regard to his existence as a ghost?) I like shades of grey, and I believe that there's a bit of darkness in everyone, and that there's a shimmer of light in every darkness. I like infidelity stories, the shameful reality of betrayal and deceit in what looks like "normal" every day life. Show me Arthur's dark side, if you're so inclined.

I hate all extremes, especially physical torture in all its gory detail. I always prefer a mindfuck over physical cruelties. That doesn't mean that I only like happy sex. I love sexual struggles, hate sex, dub con and all kinds of unfair persuasion. It's not all about sex for me either. Tell me a story about a "real" person, and I'll be happy. If Snape's in it, even more so. Because I love Snape. ;)

I really enjoy cross-gen fic where the younger participant is the aggressor/seducer. I'm not keen on sex involving people aged 60+. I love postwar stories with people rebuilding and redfining themselves. I love the in-between moments in canon in which the characters live lives parallel to the ones we see in the books. I love long, sweeping stories that take in years, or single distilled moments. I love complicated relationships and tension based on gender, profession, blood-status, etc. I love unexpected connections.

Rita is my favourite character, so I always always love things with her in them. Some Rita pairings I love (or would love to see actually written): Rita/Xeno, Rita/Irma, Rita/Rufus, Rita/Snape, or really, Rita/anyone. If you're feeling teacher-femslashy, I'd love to see any of the Hogwarts witches in a relationship with another. If you're feeling hetty, Ollivander/anyone (someone younger, or maybe even Aunt Muriel?)

I like dub-con particularly; wanting someone inappropriate (which would fit nicely with some of these characters); interesting plots; am not averse to changing canon, but would rather everyone did NOT become pirates - keep the basics the same: wizards and witches, Hogwarts etc, but you can change canon dates for things and I won't mind in the slightest; a bit of dubious nature never goes amiss; an insight into a character rather than surface level (give an obscure character an interesting and convincing background, for example)...

I also quite like fluffy fics as I'm particularly bad at writing them.

Well-written, hot and heavy, need a cigarette and fresh knickers smut. Keep it in character, but get sweaty. Canon, AU, EWE, go wild. Dark/Light pairings are a particular favorite. If gift is art and artist is using Draco, plz to be making a visible Dark Mark and Sectumsempra/chandelier scarring. I strongly prefer happy endings, or at least optimistic ones, but if dark and twisted is more your speed, have at it!
