Posting Etiquette
Okay guys.. Kai is freakin' amazing, and she wrote up some rules on Etiquette! Everyone should review them, and I'm going to link them in the Community Info!

R - Respect the other players. This is the big one, folks. Don't mouth off about a player if their character does something you don't like, and vice-versa - don't have your character suddenly hate theirs if you have an issue with the player. If you seriously have a problem, sort it out OOC.
O - Stay Original. Don't copy another character's plot or personality. Heck, don't copy another person's character in general: that's plagiarism, and unless you have a good reason to do so, don't. Isn't it more fun to make up your own storylines anyway?
L - Stay reaListic. If you're playing someone like Neville, he's not going to suddenly become the school's biggest hunk of sexy. Staying realistic applies to both play-bys (Hermione ≠ Paris Hilton) and characterization (Snape ≠ incredibly attractive, unless you like sallow, greasy bat-like men with hooked noses, in which case I have reason to be slightly disturbed).
E – Everyone plays their own character/s, and so you should not use someone else’s character/s unless you have permission to do so. This is called power-playing and nobody likes it.
P - Proofread, proofread, proofread! One or two spelling mistakes in any post are forgivable, but when you're Typong ljkr tHuzz or T1P1|\|G LYk D15, nobody's going to want to read it, let alone respond.
L – Let your character Learn. What happens between several characters your character may not know about, so don’t have it be so. Generally if something is in public rumour may spread, but if there is no-one around to overhear/oversee a conversation/situation, your character’s not going to know. Wait for someone to tell your character about something rather than having them know right off the bat.
A - Never Assume someone else's character will do what you want them to. If you think Draco Malfoy should fall in love with your character who happens to be Molly Weasley, run the plotline by the other player. Don't assume that they like it because you do. After all, we all know what happens when you ASSuME...
Y - Yield to the other player/s in a thread. Detail's great, and it's frustrating to deal with one-line responses all the time, but when you write a novel about what your character is doing with the other, there's actually not much material for the other player to work with. Leave the other player/s with a post or comment ending they can properly answer to.
