Luna settled into the bleachers, looking cheerfully up at the grey-blue clouds. She could see a cloud Thestral galloping across the sky, just under something that looked like a giant aubergine. It also looked like it might rain in a bit.
She fiddled with her Ravenclaw scarf, also shifting her bronze-and-blue knitted hat better on her head as the players began to fly on to the pitch. She clapped her hands. The best part about Quidditch was the part where they flew around at the beginning.

As you can see I've been more active with the checks, and I'll do my best to continue to be. If they are not every week, they will be every other. Do not hesitate to put yourself on a short hiatus, or let me know you won't be able to post for a week. We all have lives! I understand this! I just want to be aware that you're still interested. That's what the checks are for.
2. New points system-
Chloe and I devised a new points system, thanks to Christie's ideas, that I believe will be a fairer way of awarding points. I'll make a whole post about it, and link it in the main page for you all. Basically though, participation will be weighed against how many people there are in each house.
3. 1st Quidditch Match- April 5th. Ravenclaw versus Gryffindor. If you don't see a post up for it, please put one up on the main page. ANYONE CAN PARTICIPATE IN THIS. [By this, I mean that the audience could easily have a thread to themselves, talking about the match and their favorite players.] Double participation points are always awarded for community posts. The next Quidditch match will be April 12th Slytherin versus ________<- to be decided.
4. COMMENT ON OTHER PEOPLE'S JOURNALS! They will not bite you. I hate seeing empty posts... I always want to comment them, but then I feel like a hog. Say ANYTHING at all, even if it's random or mean! Rudeness can and should happen. ;] Let's get some community bonding going haha.

Happy Monday everybody! I hope anyone who celebrates it had an ace Easter!
I'm just writing to let you all know what's going through my mind:
1. Activities check today/tomorrow. Please post. If you're in danger of being kicked out, I'll be contacting you. But please don't wait until last minute to do so. Any sort of post will do!
2. I'll be doing points within the week. Basically, I'll comment on your journal post how many points that post earned you. Participating in a community post like a Ball or a Quidditch game will earn double points. I'm not sure what month to start in, because of the recent removals. [They left a couple of houses pretty bare]. Any arguments against me starting in December/January to count points?
3. I'm going to make April a super-Quidditch month. Basically, any Quidditch games we might have had, will be RPed during April and May, with finals in June, so that we can have a Quidditch cup as promised. I really hope we'll have enough players to get into it.
4. Please advertise us to your Harry Potter loving friends. With the loss of a Draco, and half the Hufflepuff house, we could really use a few new members to boost the community! RPing is more fun with diversity.
5. Don't be afraid to contact ANYONE to make some sort of a plot-line for your character. Even if it's a minor friendship, TRUST me it comes in handy to have someone available to post about/to.

OH NO!
Anyone who attended the ball this past weekend woke up a week later with a horrid head cold, which had been incubating in each and every person who was there.
It is easily spread through all sorts of contact, and it incubates for about a week before showing symptoms.

The Ball had finally come! The Great Hall was decorated extravagantly, and even some of the professors wore masks, as they patrolled the area, waiting for the students to arrive.
Often the younger students were led down by the Heads of Houses, or even the Prefects. But the older ones, however, they accompanied their dates on their own, anxious for any bit of freedom they could secure.
The night was ready... all that was missing? The students themselves.

YO! The "Hide your identity from everyone and frolic, talking to people you don't, or do, know" Ball is this weekend.
So is an activities check.
You must have posted in your journal during the past week and a half to escape the wrath of Voldemort.
Also, those who show up at the Ball will be in for a surprise. :D
Get your butts back here and start posting. Please? If you need ideas for plots, make an out of character post [that won't count for activity... >_>] and I'm SURE someone will reply and help you make a plot between his/her character and your own.
Roger is totally available... so throw me a line here if you want a plot with him!

Hey! I know the community's been a bit lacking lately, so here's the plan:
We're going to have a Masquerade Ball on Saturday, March 14th.
The main idea behind this is that every student must wear a mask, so that no one will recognize each other at the ball. This can be used however you'd like. Make it fun, everyone!
Chloe, Danielle and I have been brainstorming like banshees. We've got ideas for next year [mainly] and a couple for this year, so if you have any thoughts email me! We're trying to put together a community plot as fast as we can.

In other news I've been counting stuff, and just so you all know, here's how we stand:
Ravenclaw: 5 students, 1 professor
Gryffindor: 6 students
Hufflepuff: 5 students
Slytherin: 4 students
= 21 characters
We've also got 13 members... how unlucky. Haha, that was just my little way of saying go recruit. Don't you agree that things are getting more interesting with more members? :D
