FRIDAY THE 13TH: LOCK IN

Friday the 13th! Students wake up amid jokes that today is supposed to be unlucky. No one’s too concerned, until the first person goes to open the door to their cabin. That’s strange, it’s stuck. Soon it becomes clear that the door is sealed. You’re locked in your cabins!

THE RULES

All windows and doors are sealed shut magically. There’s nothing you can do to open them. Please don’t try fire, we don’t want anyone to kill themselves and all their roommates.

All students were in their assigned cabins that night. No exceptions, unless specifically granted one by the mods for having 2 of fewer active characters in the cabin. The only qualifying characters are Nathaniel, Leonardo, Sebastien and Solomon. Sorry, this is just for ease of executing the event.

Staff will realize there’s a problem at 8:00 AM. They are similarly unable to unlock the cabins.

Staff conjure water and simple meals to students for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s not the best, but it’ll have to do.

The poop dilemma has been discussed and solved.

At midnight, exactly 24 hours after the cabins first sealed, the doors and windows will magically unlock.

It’s assumed this was another freshman prank, but no culprits are found.

Monthly Bonding Activities for all juniors are cancelled.

SPOOKY EVENT LOTTERY: One cabin will be selected for a creepy event that will take place at 11:00 PM. The requirement to qualify is that your cabin threads be moderately active, and from there we'll use RNG. ~~We will post the event as a comment before the end of 1/13/2017, so that everyone can react to it in the morning.~~ A cabin has been chosen.

Rosy thinks there's something in front of their door at first. Maybe there was a storm they missed last night and there's like an entire tree blocking their door? Except she can't even get the door to budge a little, no matter how much she tries. No matter how much she slams her shoulder against the door. Or kicks it. Or yells at it? It's like nothing works.

So she goes to the window, because she is getting out of this cabin some fucking how and at least she can look out and see what's blocking them. But, oh, the window won't move either.

In fact none of the windows will move.

Well fuck this. Where's a bat? Rosy's smashing a damn window in. She'll clean up the mess after, but she is not getting stuck in this cabin today.

"If you don't want the crap scared out of you, wake up now," she says to the rest of the cabin. "I'm breaking a window."

"Because it's necessary," Rosy replies through gritted teeth. She finds something that resembles a bat, steps up to the plate in front of her window, and, with the practice of someone who has violently swung many bat-like objects, slams her weapon into the window.

And, predictably, it bounces back just as violently. Rosy sighs, steps back, and drops her bat. "Never mind, we're all gonna die in here."

Never say Rosy isn't just a ray of fucking sunshine.

	"Weren't you talking about starving to death?" Chloe asks, digging around in a drawer and coming up with a package of Poptarts. She starts to nibble one and offers the other to Rosy. 	"I meant warding the other prefects." Because it was another fucking hour until breakfast and was no one proactive in this cabin? Or did they just wait for everyone else to solve their problems? The sounds of voices, one raised in irritation and one calmer, are what alert Marilyn to something going on. Usually she doesn't have much trouble waking up early, but today is one of those days when she just wants to stay snuggled in her blankets for just a few more minutes.

"Why are we warding prefects?" she mumbles sleepily, opening her eyes to see Rosy doesn't look very happy. Uh oh.

Rosy almost asked if Chloe was joking about having to pee. But then she remembered that Chloe was probably not aware of the fact that Rosy actually has a sense of humor. Goddammit, girls, we're not figuring that out right now, give it a minute.

"Just some extra ice on the doors," Rosy says in her best calming, not at all irritated or upset voice. "I bet one of the seniors is up, I'm gonna see if they can help set us free." Smiles. No problems here. She didn't just try to break a window with a bat, they're all chill here.

"Ice?" She repeats, still struggling to wake up. Rosy is speaking calmly, which means it can't be that bad. Although the idea that they need to be 'set free' is worrisome.

"Wait. We can't open the doors?" Marilyn sits up a little, obviously more awake now, but not panicking. "Weird." Because that's a legitimate thought to have when you're locked in somewhere. No worry at all, folks.
