As spirits roam the neighborhoods at night // Let loose upon the Earth till it be light...
From ghoulies and ghosties And long-leggedy beasties And things that go bump in the night, Good Gods, deliver us!
FG's First Official Halloweek
Remember Pandora's Box, the ill-natured little wonder currently serving time as fridge, fly trap, and restaurant decor? It used to house humanity's potent ills, but now contains stray dreams and nightmares and maybe, occasionally, a stray godling or two.
And this Monday...the nightmares are coming out.
Thirteen horrors--be they scaly or pretty, shiny or furry, or just plain hungry--are tumbling out to hit the town. For better or for worse, thirteen different nightmares are going to be swarming around New York, aiming to cause trouble. And, no, they're not really planning to be very nice about it.
But New York isn't as unprotected as they think...
Things to keep in mind: -Power: These are low-level spirits/monsters. -Type: No "one of a kind" specimens. The fright your character encounters can be a Wendigo or a bogeyman or a gaki, but it can't be The Wendigo or The Bogeyman. Basically, no archetypes. (Because, hey, these are disposable NPCs, not actual FG entries.) -Medium: The beasties' form in the waking world may vary. Depending on their level of power, or type of nature, they can either manifest in their own flesh or possess someone. -Authenticity: Keep FG's rules and nature in mind when picking your fight. (While the Box does house nightmares, working with Sato's own power, the only creatures able to be at all sentient would have to have a basis in real mythology.) -Etc: Please do not request more than one monster per player. You can join up with as many hunts as you want, sure, but requests are 1:1 for now, mmkay? (The one exception to this exists because request was put in before the rule was posted.)]
The List [List of the monsters and players involved. For the sake of fun, please do not pick a monster already "scheduled". First come, first serve. ??? = invitation for company. Click on the name to contact the mun below. {P} = Possessed]
"'Tis the night - the night Of the grave's delight, And the warlocks are at their play; Ye think that without The wild winds shout, But no, it is they - it is they." ~Arthur Cleveland Coxe
Ok, honestly, the real reason to join this misadventure? Ass kicking. Seriously. How often does your monster, or mortal, get to "prod buttock" without worrying about pesky plot development or pantheon-VS-pantheon drama or anything else requiring cerebral hardship? How often do they just get to go out and be badass?
