“Dom, you did bring the sunscreen didn’t you?” Elijah asked, leading the way onto the beach. After spending what felt like hours at the Porthead Light, the boys decided it was time to explore Crescent Beach. Unfortunately, the beach was rather crowded and the boys were having a hard time finding a secluded spot to settle.
“Of course. Don’t want my baby to get a sunburn so early in our trip,” Dominic chuckled, scanning the beach for a deserted area. Finally he saw one, not too far away from where they were standing. “Finally…” Grabbing Elijah’s hand and gripping their basket of supplies in the other, Dominic led the way to the beach.
“This is a prime spot,” Elijah shielded his eyes and looked out at the ocean. He watched as Dominic spread the blanket out and began sitting out the picnic the inn had prepared for them upon their return from the lighthouse. “Are you sure you want to sit that out now?”
“I’m bloody starving, love,” Dominic grinned up at his boyfriend. “And you need to eat as much as possible.”
“Stop bitching about my weight,” Elijah playfully smacked Dominic’s arm. “I’m perfectly healthy.”
“I’m not. Just want to keep you healthy, is all. Your mum will have my arse if I don’t make sure you eat. At least that’s what she said before we left…”
Elijah looked sharply at Dominic and sighed. Of course. Dominic’s nitpicking had his mother written all over it. He loved his mother, but her constant worrying about his well being was starting to wear on him, and now she had his boyfriend doing it. That was too much. “I can’t believe her…”
“She’s just concerned about you, baby. We all are…”
“But still, she encouraged us to be adults and make up our own minds. Then we do just that, she gets all concerned and goes to our friends to make sure we’re doing what she would have us do if we were still children. It gets fucking tiresome, man.”
Dominic smiled and leaned over to kiss his boyfriend, ruffling his hair at the same time. “She’s your mum. She loves you. She wouldn’t be a proper mum if she didn’t worry. Yes, you’re a grown man, but you’ll always be her baby boy. Just like Hannah will always be your baby sister. Now, you can’t tell me that you don’t feel protective of her. I know better.”
“So you’re saying I should humor her, huh?”
Dominic just smiled and nodded. “Besides, at least you mum is here to worry about you. My mum is all the way in Manchester right now. You can just drop by to see your mum. I have to hop on a plane to see mine.”
“Like you can’t afford it,” Elijah snorted, playfully punching Dom’s arm. He then grew serious and sighed. “It’s just…it’s hard getting people to take me seriously. When they look at me, they either see Frodo or that kid from The War and the Good Son. They don’t see Elijah Wood. Adult man. It fucking pisses me off man, not to mention it’s unfair.”
“I know…”
“I may have a baby face, but I’m no baby.”
“Of course you’re not, love…”
“I can do any adult role given to me.”
“I know…”
“Well then why don’t the rest of Hollywood?! Why are they giving me these young, naïve, roles and I have to force my way to meatier characters, like Kevin in Sin City?”
“It’s the way Hollywood works. Remember when they only wanted to give me fantasy creature roles? Thank god for Shooting Livien and Lost…”
Elijah sighed, as he leaned back on his towel, gazing at his boyfriend. Dominic tried to understand, bless him. And maybe he did understand to a certain degree…but he wasn’t a child star. He didn’t have the cursed face or the big blue eyes that were known around the world. He could get any role and make it his own and people would forget about Merry and Charlie. Unfortunately, Elijah didn’t have that luxury. His eyes were a dead give away to who he was and his child star status had people seeing him in only innocent roles, and he was getting so fucking tired of having to fight for something more diverse and interesting. At times…like now…he thought about just giving up all together and find something else to do.
“I’m just tired of having to fight the typecasting. Really just tired of it all.”
Dominic frowned, not liking the resignation in Elijah’s voice. He sounded so final. “Lijah? What are you saying?”
Elijah shrugged, not wanting to get into it now. This was their vacation. A time to have fun and to relax. The last thing he wanted to do was talk Hollywood. He just smiled gently and kissed Dominic’s hand, that was tightly holding his. “It’s nothing, love. Just me talking shit. Hey, do you think there’s sharks in the water? I’d love to go for a swim.”
Dominic blinked at the change of subject, not sure of what to make of it. Something was going on with Elijah. He could feel it, just by the boy’s tone. But he couldn’t force Elijah to talk to him. He couldn’t make him open up. All he could do was back off and wait for Elijah to come to him again. He would…when the time was right. Dominic was certain of that, if not anything else. “Don’t know. Has there ever been any reports of shark attacks up this way?”
Elijah just shrugged and laid down on his stomach. “Maybe later I’ll go for a swim…but I’m ready for that sunscreen now. It’s burning up out here, fuck!”
Dominic laughed as he sat up and grabbed the bottle of lotion. “Quiet baby. There are children around and about. Don’t want them picking up on bad words, now do we?”
“Bad words? Like bloody hell? Wanker? Tosser?”
Dominic just rolled his eyes. Suit yourself, but if a pissed mother comes up here to chew you out, don’t look at me. I did try to warn you,” Dominic chuckled, now rubbing the lotion onto Elijah’s pale skin.
“Remember when you met my mother, sweetie?”
“Do I? I was so fucking nervous! It was my first time in LA. I was away from home, and our relationship was still so new. I was afraid she wouldn’t like me and you’d agree and send me packing.”
Feeling sleepy, Elijah smiled at the memory. He had been so nervous back then. He had been afraid that Dominic would think they were all freaks and not only not want to stay with him, but want nothing to do with him as well…
Elijah gripped his bag in one hand and Dominic’s hand in the other as they approached the door. This was it. Introducing his boyfriend to his family. The revelation that he was gay had come as no surprise to neither Debbie nor Hannah. They had suspected that Elijah might be gay for a few years now, especially after the relationship with his first girlfriend fell apart. He just didn’t seem too bothered, and he always seemed to notice boys more than he had ever noticed girls. When he had come home from his first few months in New Zealand and had told them about Dominic , they had been overjoyed. They jumped at the chance to meet this Dominic when Elijah had talked of getting his own place with Dominic now that the Brit was moving to LA. Debbie had insisted upon opening up the guesthouse for them both and having a welcome dinner for her son’s new boyfriend. She refused to listen to Elijah’s protests.
Ok, it wasn’t that he didn’t want Dominic to meet his family. He loved his family and was very proud of them. It was just that…he loved having Dominic to himself. In New Zealand, they had their own world, that even Sean and Billy knew not to interrupt. Here, he was going to have to share Dominic with the rest of his family. It’ll be at least a month until his mom and sister learned the boundaries.
“Are you sure your mum and sis will like me, baby? I mean…as you know, we Brits are quite different from you yanks, our weird sense of humor and all…” Dominic nervously chewed on his bottom lip, hating that his hands were so sweaty and that he felt like a nervous wreck. This was big. He was meeting his lover’s family. It was vital to make a good impression. But what if he didn’t? What if they hated him? What then?
“They’re going to fucking love you. Weird sense of humor and all. I just hate that I’m going to have to share you now…at least for a month. My sister will crush on you and my mum will mother you. So be prepared,” Elijah smiled, kissing his boyfriend before ringing the bell and giving Dominic’s hand a reassuring squeeze. “It’ll be alright. I promise.”
It was Hannah who opened a door. A small girl with blond hair and pixie features. In Dominic’s opinion, just as adorable as her brother.
“Elijah! You’re home!” Hannah dived into her brother’s arms, hugging him tight. Familiar blue eyes stared at Dominic in open delight. She let go of Elijah and went to stand before Dominic, her eyes happily examining him. “And this is Dominic…not bad. Very cute. It’s good to see that my brother has good taste in men.”
“Hannah, don’t be rude!” Elijah glared, somehow not liking how his sister was looking at Dominic, as if he was a new dress that she was thinking of buying if Elijah would allow her. Hannah developing a crush on HIS boyfriend was the very last thing he needed. “Where’s mom?”
“She’s putting the finishing touches on dinner. She’ll be out,” Hannah smiled, her eyes still on Dominic. “So Dominic, my brother says you’re from England.”
“Manchester. Actually Stockport. The town so nice, they named it twice,” Dominic winked, eliciting a frown from Elijah. He looked at Elijah, confused about the frown.
“You’ll have to tell me all about it,” Hannah giggled.
“Elijah!” Debbie came out, pulling Elijah into a hug. “It’s about time you got here. Dinner is just about ready!”
“Hi mom,” Elijah smiled, hugging his mother back, not taking his eyes off of Hannah and Dom. He blushed as his mother pulled away to fuss over him.
“I hope you’ve been eating right and getting enough sleep…”
“Of course I have. Well as much as I can anyway. We keep some pretty odd hours…”
“Mom, this is Dominic,” Hannah grinned, tugging on Dominic’s arm to bring him over.
“Oh, so this is the young man my son has been writing home about,” Debbie smiled, pulling Dominic into a hug, her smile warm and welcoming. “Welcome Dominic. It is so nice to meet you…”
“It’s a pleasure Ms. Wood,” Dominic smiled, the rest of the butterflies that had plagued his stomach calming down. So far, it seemed, Elijah’s family liked him and they seemed like nice enough folks.
“I was so fucking nervous when I met Debbie and Hannah. I thought they’d hate me for corrupting their little Elijah…”
“Hannah fell in love with you the moment she saw you and mom nearly adopted you on the spot,” Elijah chuckled, reaching out to stroke Dom’s cheek, his eyes shining with unreserved adoration. “They’re just like me. They adored you the moment they saw you. Just like I did…”
Dominic smiled and again kissed Elijah, overcome with he love he held for the younger man. At times he couldn’t believe that Elijah was his. It was like some kind of dream. When he first met Elijah, the boy had seemed like some angel. Pure, innocent, untouchable. Dominic had thought of himself as unfit even to look at him at times. But Elijah had never let him get away with that kind of thinking. He made Dominic feel loved and wanted, even when it seemed that no one else even wanted Dominic around. Elijah one of the few people who always welcomed him. No matter what.
“I liked them too…and I’ll always be grateful to them for making me feel at home. Even when I was at my lowest…”
Elijah looked at the sand, remembering Dominic’s dark time, when he had pushed them all away. No one could get through to him and for the longest time, Elijah had thought that he had lost him completely. Thank god, someone did reach Dominic after all. Thank god someone had pulled him out of that dark place and brought him back to the light, back to Elijah where he belonged. He hated to admit it, but when Lost let Dom go…he had been afraid that another depression was on the way. There was no words to describe his relief that Dominic seemed to be accepting things and moving on.
“Promise me that you won’t push us away again…no matter how low you feel. If you need help…promise that you’ll come to me.”
“Hey, of course. I promise,” Dominic touched Elijah’s face with a concerned frown. “All of that is in the past. Let’s concentrate on the present…and our future…”
Elijah just smiled and rolled onto his back, taking Dominic with him. He pulled the other man close, wishing that the beach was more private so he could do much more than just hold Dom…so he could satisfy the raging desire he felt at that moment. He slide beneath Dom so his legs were on each side of his waist and slowly rubbed the growing erection against the other man, small moans escaping his lips*
“Lij…I don’t think this is the place…”
“Shh…no one will notice…just stay still…” Elijah panted, resisting the urge to arch up against Dom even more, the tingling in his groin increasing. “Fuuck…”
A little amused, Dominic looked around to make sure no one was looking before claiming Elijah’s lips in a deep kiss, just to have his lover pull back. Frowning, he looked at Elijah confused.
“Chocolate. Lots of chocolate,” Elijah giggled, thinking that his Dominic looked adorable when he was confused.
“Porn and chocolate,” Dominic laughed, giggling even more when Elijah playfully punched him.
“I’ll never forgive you for telling the world about that.”
“Oh come on, it was funny,” Dominic reached into the picnic basket and pulled out a chocolate bar and held it up in front of Elijah, moaning as he felt the boy beneath him harden even more and begin to throb.
“You are an unimaginable bastard,” Elijah pouted.
“And you’re a sexy hobbit,” Dominic unwrapped the chocolate bare and offered it to Elijah, who eagerly bit off a square.
“Fuck, that’s good and I think we better head back to the hotel…I’m about to fucking explode already…” Elijah panted, now all too aware of the pulsations in his cock, that was pressed against Dominic’s thigh. “What was I thinking?”
Dominic just laughed and reluctantly got up to his feet. He loathed to move from that spot, loving the way Elijah responded to him so easily. There was nothing like feeling his lover harden just from his mere presence.
“Hey, where are you going?”
“I know just what to do about your problem,” Dominic smirked, heading for the ocean, shedding his shirt along the way.
“Dominic! I can’t! Um…evidence!”
“No one’s looking! Come on!” Dominic gestured, already at the edge of the water where he stopped and waited for Elijah, who could barely jog to him, thanks to his condition. Smiling he pulled Elijah into his arms and smiled when the younger man nearly melted into his arms when their groins connected.
“Fuck Dom…do you want to fucking kill me?” Elijah panted, clinging to his lover, trying not to rub up against him, despite the unbearable need for friction. “Just fucking touch me already…”
“I will…soon….just follow me,” Dominic released Elijah and stepped into the water, leading to a more secluded area of the beach. He grinned with satisfaction to see Elijah follow, his blue eyes confused by Dominic’s motives. “Come on Lijah…”
Out as far as he wanted to be, Dominic pulled Elijah into his arms and pressed their bodies close together, eliciting a moan from Elijah, who wrapped trembling arms around his neck, and buried his face against his chest. Using a firm finger beneath Elijah’s chin, Dom lifted the man’s face and claimed his red lips, letting his other hand slide down his wet chest into the water where he gripped the hard as rock cock.
“Fuuuck…Dom…” Elijah panted against Dom’s lips as long slender fingers stroked his aching cock with firm strokes.
Dominic just smiled and continued rubbing the hard shaft, ignoring his own hardness. Elijah in the meantime moaned as he felt the orgasm wash through him and his seed spill into the ocean. He rested his head against Dom’s shoulder, trying to get his bearings again.
“That was…fucking awesome, man,” Elijah smiled, clinging to Dominic, pressing a damp kiss to his lover’s salty skin. “We have to do that again…” Slowly he reached for Dominic’s cock and began to stroke it, smiling when Dom began to moan and slowly thrust his cock into his hand. He wondered how long they could manage to stay in the water. Maybe it’d be best if they moved to the sandy beach…Right now Dominic was supporting his exhausted body in the water. If Dom suddenly became exhausted or some of his strength was drained, they could both sink. “Let’s go to the beach…”
Moaning at the loss of Elijah’s hand on him, he followed his lover to the beach where they both collapsed and breathed heavily. Dominic looked up at the sky, trying to come back down to earth, not noticing Elijah moving between his legs and taking him into his mouth until bolts of pleasure shot from his groin and out through his body. Arching up he cried out. “Holy fuck…!”
Elijah closed his eyes and continued to work Dom’s cock, rubbing his tongue around the head of the shaft and taking him even more into his mouth. Dominic’s head fell back as he struggled not to thrust his hips, not wanting to gag Elijah. His long fingers gripped Elijah’s head keeping it still. “Mmmm, baby…”
One more lick against the head sent Dominic over the edge. With a loud groan, he spilled his seed into Elijah’s mouth, who swallowed every last drop. With a drowsy smile, the blue eyed former hobbit crawled up Dom’s body and settled down, fully satisfied.
“I love you,” Elijah sighed, placing gentle kisses against Dom’s parted lips. The older man just wrapped his arms around Elijah and held him close, wanting to stay like this forever.
“I don’t want to move…this is too perfect…”
“Our food,” Elijah glanced over towards their picnic basket, which was just a few feet away. “We have to eat…”
“Are you hungry?”
“Not now I’m not…I’m perfectly happy staying like this…with you…”
“Well then we’ll leave it until we are hungry,” Dominic giggled, kissing Elijah again.
The rest of the day was spent on the beach, laughing, swimming, and just enjoying it each other. It was their last full day in Maine, and much to Elijah’s delight, it was one full of laughter, love, and romance…
