It's Patricia again! I've finished working on my other kids, so even though they won't be joining the game for at least a couple more weeks I think I can post my new introductions and discuss character relationships.
(Oh, and don't forget to run the button, of course!)
So here are my five new characters, in no particular order:
Tiago Delgado (surfista) - Beauxbatons, 1988-1995. Portuguese student who was part of the Beauxbatons delegation during the Triwizard Tournament. You'll probably know him from canon as the boy who asked Parvati to dance during the Yule Ball, and who invited her to Hogsmeade shortly after (Ashley are you there? We need to talk!). Certain people (*wink wink*) might have also bonded with him over some recreational smoking at the time. He's friendly, sweet, nice, and someone you can always count on to see things from a calmer perspective. After Beauxbatons, he moved back to Portugal where he still lives; after a few years working as a surfing instructor (he's still a keen and dedicated surfer) he became a presenter on the morning show in the Portuguese equivalent to the WWN, and is becoming a bit of a celebrity in the country because of it. For him these journals are a great opportunity to get reacquainted with people he knew back at Hogwarts.

Hamish Fraser (thatsbampot) - Ravenclaw, 1989-1996. Some of you might remember Hamish from previous games where I played him as a muggle-born and only child. Here, though, he's a half-blood who was raised as a muggle, and the identical twin of Cassius Warrington from Slytherin - they were separated at birth by their purist grandparents and only met at Hogwarts, managing to reunite their parents in true Parent Trap style after that. You can tell the twins apart quite easily because Hamish is the one with a thick Highland accent and a tendency to mix words in Scottish Gaelic and Scots into his speech - and he's also the twin more likely to be seen wearing a kilt, of course. He's Keeper for the Montrose Magpies and still lives at the family's sheep farm with his parents and 8-year-old sister Lorna (Cass is away because of Healer training).

Samir Karim (goldenpharaoh) - Hufflepuff, 1989-1996. A muggle-born, born in London to Egyptian parents, he's spent most of his teenage years torn between fulfilling his parents' expectations and embracing his artistic vocation, sexuality, and identity as a wizard. He's very loud and hyper and likes to write in CAPITAL LETTERS when he's excited, which some people find a little intimidating - and although he's mellowed down since he was sixteen, the hyperness is still there. He was a dormmate and close friend of Cedric Diggory, and so was understandably devastated when he died. He managed to escape the war by pure accident, as he was in Paris studying art at the time. He now lives in the south of France with his boyfriend, Rémy Laurent (they had dated during the Tournament but due to a series of incidents only met again after five years without contact), and spends his time painting and playing the computer.

Cormac McLaggen (this journal) - Gryffindor, 1990-1997. He's loud, childish, immature, obsessed with girls, Quidditch and his own awesome self (well, awesome in his own eyes, that is), but underneath all his braggart ways he's just an old softie. He spent most of his teenage years trying to rebel from his family, but only managed to achieve this after taking Declan's side during the war. He's now Keeper for the Ballycastle Bats after a few years with the Cannons, does a little modelling, and has recently become a father to a little boy, Cormac, Jr. In spite of their son, he and his girlfriend Allegra Flint have no plans to get married in the near future, preferring to live "in sin" - if anything, it annoys his parents.

And finally, Zoe Wagtail (misswagtail) - Hufflepuff, 1990-1997. She's the baby sister of Myron Wagtail (lead singer of the Weird Sisters), but unlike her brother she's responsible and no-nonsense. She looks and acts cute and sweet, but cross her at her own peril. She has a fiery temper, as well as a strong Slytherin side that is usually expressed through witty remarks and a certain deviousness. Her father owns Flourish and Blotts (which she manages), and her muggle-born mother tragically passed away during the war after being Kissed by a Dementor, having been framed for the murder of the Sungs and the MacDougals.
