Cormac McLaggen is too sexy for his shirt ([info]batskeeper) wrote in [info]felix_ooc,

Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Entry tags:! intro, patricia

It's Patricia again! I've finished working on my other kids, so even though they won't be joining the game for at least a couple more weeks I think I can post my new introductions and discuss character relationships.

(Oh, and don't forget to run the button, of course!)

So here are my five new characters, in no particular order:

Tiago Delgado ([info]surfista) - Beauxbatons, 1988-1995. Portuguese student who was part of the Beauxbatons delegation during the Triwizard Tournament. You'll probably know him from canon as the boy who asked Parvati to dance during the Yule Ball, and who invited her to Hogsmeade shortly after (Ashley are you there? We need to talk!). Certain people (*wink wink*) might have also bonded with him over some recreational smoking at the time. He's friendly, sweet, nice, and someone you can always count on to see things from a calmer perspective. After Beauxbatons, he moved back to Portugal where he still lives; after a few years working as a surfing instructor (he's still a keen and dedicated surfer) he became a presenter on the morning show in the Portuguese equivalent to the WWN, and is becoming a bit of a celebrity in the country because of it. For him these journals are a great opportunity to get reacquainted with people he knew back at Hogwarts.
For more on him, go here.

Hamish Fraser ([info]thatsbampot) - Ravenclaw, 1989-1996. Some of you might remember Hamish from previous games where I played him as a muggle-born and only child. Here, though, he's a half-blood who was raised as a muggle, and the identical twin of Cassius Warrington from Slytherin - they were separated at birth by their purist grandparents and only met at Hogwarts, managing to reunite their parents in true Parent Trap style after that. You can tell the twins apart quite easily because Hamish is the one with a thick Highland accent and a tendency to mix words in Scottish Gaelic and Scots into his speech - and he's also the twin more likely to be seen wearing a kilt, of course. He's Keeper for the Montrose Magpies and still lives at the family's sheep farm with his parents and 8-year-old sister Lorna (Cass is away because of Healer training).
For more on him, go here.

Samir Karim ([info]goldenpharaoh) - Hufflepuff, 1989-1996. A muggle-born, born in London to Egyptian parents, he's spent most of his teenage years torn between fulfilling his parents' expectations and embracing his artistic vocation, sexuality, and identity as a wizard. He's very loud and hyper and likes to write in CAPITAL LETTERS when he's excited, which some people find a little intimidating - and although he's mellowed down since he was sixteen, the hyperness is still there. He was a dormmate and close friend of Cedric Diggory, and so was understandably devastated when he died. He managed to escape the war by pure accident, as he was in Paris studying art at the time. He now lives in the south of France with his boyfriend, Rémy Laurent (they had dated during the Tournament but due to a series of incidents only met again after five years without contact), and spends his time painting and playing the computer.
For more on him, go here.

Cormac McLaggen (this journal) - Gryffindor, 1990-1997. He's loud, childish, immature, obsessed with girls, Quidditch and his own awesome self (well, awesome in his own eyes, that is), but underneath all his braggart ways he's just an old softie. He spent most of his teenage years trying to rebel from his family, but only managed to achieve this after taking Declan's side during the war. He's now Keeper for the Ballycastle Bats after a few years with the Cannons, does a little modelling, and has recently become a father to a little boy, Cormac, Jr. In spite of their son, he and his girlfriend Allegra Flint have no plans to get married in the near future, preferring to live "in sin" - if anything, it annoys his parents.
For more on him, go here.

And finally, Zoe Wagtail ([info]misswagtail) - Hufflepuff, 1990-1997. She's the baby sister of Myron Wagtail (lead singer of the Weird Sisters), but unlike her brother she's responsible and no-nonsense. She looks and acts cute and sweet, but cross her at her own peril. She has a fiery temper, as well as a strong Slytherin side that is usually expressed through witty remarks and a certain deviousness. Her father owns Flourish and Blotts (which she manages), and her muggle-born mother tragically passed away during the war after being Kissed by a Dementor, having been framed for the murder of the Sungs and the MacDougals.
For more on her, go here.

Heh, any excuse is a good excuse.

I have a feeling Yue rolls his eyes at Cormac a lot...

Hamish and Anthony former housemates and friendly quidditch rivals?

I'll be interested to suss out Zoe and Yue's relationship given the tragedy involving their parents.

Also Cece and Zoe will be interesting to figure out. ^^

Ethan will know Cormac through being in the same house of course, but probably not very well.

Cormac is used to having his brother and girlfriend rolling their eyes at him on a regular basis, so he's perfectly fine with Yue doing the same. :P

They would have also been teammates at school, as Hamish played for Ravenclaw from Anthony's first year right up to the Year of the Umbitch. Any rivalry between them will definitely be friendly.

Oh yes, that's bound to be an interesting relationship. Zoe and her siblings fought a legal battle to have their mother's name cleared, so I guess it all depends on Yue's reaction to that? Zoe feels sorry for the victims' children and is sad their legal investigation didn't produce the real murderer (because in a way they were also responsible for her mother's death) so from her part there's a bit of an uncomfortable sympathy.

Hee definitely! Zoe likes Heathcote a lot, but for a long time thought Cece was a silly little girl (their age difference obviously not helping things). She'll be friendlier now that Cece has matured a bit, though it will also depend on how Cece will react to what happened to the Wagtail family these past few years.

Yeah, there's too much of an age difference for Cormac to have paid much attention to Ethan at school.

Tiago would probably remember Mo best. I think my other three might have been too young to really show up on his radar. Though he might know of Spencer now since they're in the same business.

Hamish likely knows Mo fairly well and she gets along with most people so I can't imagine that he's any different. Plus, she's a Quidditch wife so there's that as well. He would probably know of Edwin as well as a player.

It's really too bad that Spencer and Samir weren't in closer years because I think they would have really gotten on. They need to find a way to get to know each other now. :) Mo is the closest to him in age but they were different houses. He may know Mei through the Cedric/Cho connection.

Cormac would know Mo through Declan if nothing else and he would probably vaguely know Ed through Quidditch and he might remember him as an ickle.

Zoe would know Spencer and I have a feeling they probably got along pretty well. She's a year older than Mo but might remember her though there is the added connection of her mother being framed for Mo's parents' deaths (which indcidentally Mo never thought she did). She might know of Mei as Cho's little sister (that's how MOST people know Mei after all). :)

Tiago might not recognize Morag's name at first but he'll definitely know who she is. And yes, he might know of Spencer given that the RRF and the WWN are very likely connected, even if only by name.

Oh yes, Hamish will certainly know Mo - he's all "Ravenclaw Scots FTW!" And even if he doesn't know Edwin that well, they can bond over Quidditch. Oh yes, and since in the GoF game that's folding Hamish was good friends with Cho, that's a connection for Mei as well.

Cormac will know Mo as Su's friend, certainly. He wasn't one for bonding with the ickle ones like Declan, so Quidditch might be the only point of connection between him and Ed, though.

Zoe was a prefect, so I'm sure the younger Puffs will remember her well - especially since she had a pendant for looking the other way if the rule-breaking wasn't hurting anyone. She certainly would have liked Spencer a lot back then, and will be warm and friendly to him. Oh yes, even if Zoe didn't remember Mo from Hogwarts they'd have their parents' deaths as a link. Zoe appreciates Mo's trust, as part of the legal battle to clear her mother's name was also a way to bring justice (and therefore closure) to the victims' children. I have the feeling she'll like Mei a lot - but yes, right now she probably only knows her because of Cho.

Tiago
Romilda - Quite a few years between them there. I think they would get on well if they had a chance to interact, though.
Lucy - also a bit young, but she likes him. Calm people are good for her.
Alex - would really struggle to make fun of him, because he's so unfazeable.
Evan - basically has no opinion.
Dean - likes him well enough and will be friendly.
Jade - is envious. He is everything she is not.

Hamish
Romilda - has totally tried to look up Hamish's kilt to see if he is a 'true Scotsman.' Also, maybe she can do a birthday party for Lorna?
Lucy - won't understand a word he says if she ever meets him in person.
Alex - will be an asshole if he ever gets the opportunity.
Evan - makes a joke about sheep.
Dean - will be friendly. I don't know if I really need to keep saying this about Dean :-P
Jade - hides, as per usual. At least Hamish wasn't there during the IS year, though.

Samir
Romilda - omg she is still much younger but she kind of loves him. Gay and hyper and cute. All good things.
Lucy - will be really over-nice, the way she is with most muggle-borns. She's sorry okay! She's sorry she thought you stole magic! At least he didn't suffer for it the way most did, though. Hufflepuff love anyway.
Alex - makes fun of basically everything about him.
Evan - would have been ewww about the gay thing, but now doesn't care, especially as he lives far away.
Dean - are we keeping Art club as game canon? Bc Dean would have joined that. In any case, they should start becoming friendly so Dean can get nudged into art.
Jade - hides. As with Hamish, at least Samir didn't witness her in the IS.

Cormac
Romilda - loves Cormac. I think they should be friendly :-) If it weren't for the age difference, I'd say they should have slept together at some point. Maybe during one of his 'off' times with Allegra.
Lucy - would also be friendly. Her family and the McLaggens knew each other, right?
Alex - will mock him.
Evan - says teach me your ways, master.
Dean - takes him with a pinch of salt. He'll be reasonably friendly.
Jade - thinks he's gorgeous. *sigh*

Zoe
Romilda - we wanted them to be friendly, didn't we? Maybe Romilda used to fangirl Myron and they know each other that way. (Romilda has grown out of such behaviour now, she tells me.)
Lucy - is a little scared of her, which is funny since they are both Hufflepuffs with Slytherin streaks. She says sorry about your mother :-(
Alex - thinks she's hot. He likes them feisty.
Evan - friendly, although I don't know how that would have started! Maybe he came on to her a lot and she actually managed to put him in his place.
Dean - likes Zoe, the little minx.
Jade - well ;-) See icon. I imagine Zoe does not like her much.

Tiago
Romilda: They would indeed get along quite well. It's only a matter of making them start talking. I'm already planning his first post, based on being reminded about a heat wave we had in 2003, so she can comment to it once it's up.
Dean: Tiago might remember him as a friend of the Patils. That might be a point of connection.

Hamish
Romilda: ROMILDA! :O But yeah, she can do a party for Lorna, who is still old enough to like clowns and is likely to enjoy meeting a girl clown. :)
Lucy: She might have the same problem in the written form, since the Highlander accent is actually not as sharp as other Scottish accents, and it's his tendency to mix Gaelic and Scots to English that tends to cause confusion.
Evan: Hamish dares you to do those sheep jokes to Cass.
Dean: It definitely goes without saying.
Jade: Hamish will be disappointed to hear that a fellow Ravenclaw acted the way she did.

Samir
Romilda: Aww.
Lucy: Samir might get a bit o_O at the apologies.
Alex: He's used to prejudice (besides being muggleborn and gay, he's also a Muslim in 2003) so bring it.
Evan: Samir visits the UK regularly, you know...
Dean: We can certainly keep the Art Club as canon. They could have met that way.

Cormac
Romilda: There's a voice in my head going "EWWWWWWWW" at the idea of Cormac and Romilda sleeping together. It sounds a bit like Declan...
Lucy: They did, and there's that family connection through Gail, if we're keeping Gail as part of game canon. They would have grown up together. She's probably known Allegra since they were children as well, though that's something to discuss with Julie.
Alex: Cormac never liked Declan and Alex being friends, and his dislike increased after that business with the IS, so he'll mock right back.
Evan: I SO want to see him actually say that. :P
Dean: Cormac still doesn't get what he did wrong during his short stint at the Gryffindor team, not that he'll ever get Dean's disapproval. *shakes head* He'll be friendly enough.
Jade: Why yes, he is. *poses*

Zoe
Romilda: If she fangirled Myron, then Zoe will be very pleased to see her grow out of that. Even if he wasn't her brother she'd have trouble seeing the appeal. That said, it could definitely be a good way of them to have connected. That, and Zoe could have caught Romilda doing something naughty and turned a blind eye instead of going all Mean Prefect on her. In spite of her constant frustration with misbehaving kids, I think Romilda would have amused her.
Lucy: It is funny since they can connect on that regard. In spite of Zoe's mother and Lucy's father, Zoe actually approves of Lucy's current actions and charities.
Alex: If he hits on her she might tell him to drop dead, but will do so in the sweetest way possible. :P
Evan: That works for me. Unlike Leah, who jumps straight to the hexing and the insulting, she would have been sweet but firm in her rejection, in a way that probably works better for Evan than the antlers ever did.
Dean: Zoe likes you too.
Jade: Hee, I love the Zoe/Jade icons! She doesn't like her much, no. It doesn't help that Zoe would have heard of the actions of the IS members at the stage where she was mourning her mother, which would have made those things hit her in a more negative way than normal. She won't be downright aggressive, though; instead she'd just try to avoid much interaction though she'll reply if Jade says anything.

Tiago/Dean - good point.

Evan/Hamish - oh, Evan will do sheep jokes to Cass, don't worry :-P

Evan/Samir - as long as he doesn't come and watch Sean in the club, Evan will deal.

Cormac/Romilda - LOL why do I keep forgetting and making Romilda want to sleep with them? *shakes head*

Cormac/Evan - haha, that could be arranged.

Zoe/Romilda - oh, good plan. Romilda likes lax prefects.

Jade/Zoe - compared to everyone else's reactions, replying to Jade when she says stuff counts as leading her on.

Evan/Hamish - Muahaha.

Evan/Samir - Samir is not a club-going guy and would much rather ogle his own boyfriend than some other bloke, so Evan has no worries.

Cormac/Romilda - Because Cormac is a shameless hussy and would have probably shagged the whole female population in Britain if not for Allegra? :P

Jade/Zoe - Oh dear.
