(Re)Introduction!
Hi everybody! Patricia here, reintroducing my existing characters. Those of you who were around the first time and/or who were a part of the email thread Orla mentioned will know all of this already, but since it will be news for the brilliant new people who will join us in a few weeks' time (and to whom I'll be linking this) I figured I'd leave the information as it is. Sorry if this feels repetitive.

So, here are my characters and what they've been up to:

Declan McLaggen ([info]stripedpegasus) - Gryffindor, 1992-1999. Declan is the younger brother of one Cormac McLaggen, was raised as a purist, supported the Carrows, had a change of heart, and fought alongside the DA in the Battle. He suffered from post-traumatic stress and had guilt-stricken recurring nightmares about how he accidentally blinded Alecto Carrow after seeing her kill one of his best friends, and very early on had a breakdown. Things got better, though, and he managed to make a full recovery, fulfilling his duties as Head Boy and starting a relationship with Su Li. They've been living together for a while now and are making wedding plans (the date is fast approaching!). He's starting his own horse business, trying to breed flying zebras in the process, and is making some extra money as a Daily Prophet columnist and managing his brother's Quidditch career - if your character is a Quidditch player and want a manager, then say the word, as Declan is quite good at increasing salaries and perks.
Also, his mother's side of the family are now the Ogdens, which means Uncle Tiberius is the Tiberius Ogden who left the Wizegamot in support of Dumbledore in OotP, and his great-grandfather is Bob Ogden, who was seen confronting the Gaunts in the HBP pensieve memories.
For more on him, go here.

Leah Cooper ([info]leahcooper) - Ravenclaw, 1993-2000. Related to the Weasleys from the Prewett side (her mother and Molly Weasley are cousins), she's just as kickass as Molly or Ginny because Prewett women are all made of awesome. She was part of the second wave of the DA, and her baby sister Rachel was the first-year the Carrows had chained up in the dungeons. In spite of her awesomeness she used to see herself as geeky and awkward as a teenager, and her self-esteem in that matter is still rather low so she gets a but uncomfortable (or even downright mad) when men say she's pretty - especially when Evan Vaisey is the one saying it as she despises him particularly. She's a spokeswitch for the Muggle Liaison Office, and considers herself to be married to her job.
For more on her, go here.

Jamie Huggins (this journal) - Hufflepuff, 1993-2000. A Liverpool-born Puff, Jamie was Spencer Quick's dormmate while in Hogwarts. He, Romilda Vane, Vicky Frobisher and Peter Jones were very close and called themselves "The Delinquents", partly because one of their shared activities involved smoking certain substances - plus Romilda and Vic aren't exactly saints, even if Vic was a prefect. A Muggle-born, he spent the Year From Hell as a Wandless in Diagon Alley, developing a bit on an obsession with cleanliness after spending so many months in dirty rags. For a while, Jamie dated Lucy Yaxley, but at the end of the 1998/99 school year they had a tearful breakup, and by now they've lost touch, much to his disappointment. He and Peter are co-owners of a shop of magical plants and herbs (they live on the apartment above the shop) and have a small side business on marijuana. Shh!
For more on him, go here.

Luna Lovegood ([info]heliopaths) - Ravenclaw, 1992-1999. Luna is... Luna. She's still the same free-spirited girl with a strong will hiding behind her apparent detachment and unconventional way of thinking. She's already travelling around the world, sometimes in the company of Michael Corner, and has published her first book on her discoveries (though only her naturalist peers so far have read it), but she's yet to meet Rolf Scamander. You'll likely find her posting from the other side of the globe and leaving small notes about weird-shaped leaves she happened to stumble upon, or how she's eaten roasted lizard in some greasy restaurant in the middle of nowhere.
For more on her, go here.

And finally Miles Bletchley ([info]chickenman) - Slytherin, 1989-1996. Keeper for the Falmouth Falcons, he's a Yorkshireman through and through, living in his native Upper Flagley and travelling to the other side of the country daily via floo for practice. Has a strange sense of humour that makes even his closer friends want to strangle him at times, and a tendency to call people by silly nicknames, usually based on their surname. Strangely enough, though, in spite of his tendency to annoy people just for a laugh, he's managed to remain good friends with all his hexes and treats them like princesses. (Volunteers?) Is the roommate of Jade Dorny and has a pet gnome, Tibbles, who is addicted to dairy products and, thanks to Miles' sister, likes to wear doll's dresses.
For more on him, go here.

I'll make a second intro post for the other characters I'll be adding in the near future. I thought of including them here, but I figured it would be too massive.

Looking forward to playing with all you guys again!

Sooo the characters I already have in game already know yours and the ones who aren't I haven't introduced yet, buuuuut.... thoughts that occurred to me:

Mel could be one of Miles' exes? You know how she likes the lads and is just as bad at annoying people, albeit not on purpose.

Dean was going to go with Luna to see orangutans. Shall we say that went ahead?

Declan could manage Barney if he likes?

Mel could definitely be one of his exes. She'll get a few perks out of this, like being addressed as "Mel" rather than a silly nickname (unless she likes said silly nickname and tells him so) and not being the target of his jokes like other people. Like I said, contrary to the impression he might give he's actually a pretty good boyfriend and ex-boyfriend and tends to pamper his exes while at the same time treating them as individuals, a combination I think Mel might appreciate.

Of course. I'm sure Dean enjoyed himself - never a dull moment with Luna. :)

He can manage him, yes. Barney can count on Declan to get him the perks and raises he deserves.

Awesome, Mel is down for that.

Yes you know Barney will be like, "oh I can play that is brilliant oh you want to pay me okay if you want."
