Introducing: Hugo "Boss" Weasley
And instead of Donald Trump's well known, "You're fired!" Hugo says, "You're wrong!" But he doesn't do so on publicized television or anything of the like.
Hokay, peoples, meet the annoying, obnoxious, in your face, if you're a Weasley-Potter you cannot escape him...Hugo. First off, his birthdate and time of birth is hugely important because he was born at 12:00am on September 1st 2007. Isn't that after the cut off (August 31st) you say? Hugo has two things to say to you: zerothly, you're wrong; firstly, the clock in the hospital was fast (and why oh why did his mother NOT just opt for a C-section); secondly, he convinced the headmaster he should be here, and he's here to STAY (at least another two and a half years). Yes, he has just turned 15 as of the start of this school year.
Hugo was sorted into Hufflepuff after a stare-down with the sorting hat (Hugo won) because he refused to go into Slytherin, where only his much older cousin Molly was, and he has many Slytherin characteristics. Honestly, Hugo is likely almost a 50/50 Slytherpuff. He is determined, ambitious many a time (such as coming to Hogwarts), will use almost any means, and in his opinion anyone who's his friend has found the right friends. But Hugo also has a large (probably overdeveloped) sense of fairness. It wasn't fair for him not to come that year. He works hard and uses those means to get what's fairly his in Hugo's opinion. And while he annoys and pesters so many people, it's also out of an attitude of justice and fairness. It wouldn't exactly be fair to expect them to change when they are blind to their faults. (Pick up a mirror people).
As you can see in his icon, Hugo is not the man's man, the manly man, or with the big buff muscles. He is however a well-dressed man. And you, most likely, are wrong in how you dress (Rose's wardrobe vexes him to no end). He's shot up a great deal over the last two years, much to his pleasure, and he may still grow an inch or two. But people were probably used to a small Hugo pest for a long time, and now he's larger.
Despite many of his (numerous) flaws, Hugo is very outgoing, often friendly, and values friendship and family above almost everything. He will have his friends' back in public even if he's telling them how wrong they are in private. He loves going to events like the gala and spending time with people.
5 Things EVERYONE Knows About Me
1. My parents aren’t as famous as my Uncle Harry, but they are still very well known. Sometimes reporters came by when I was growing up, to ask them questions or snap photos of us. Anyone who’s seen those photos can notice I’m smiling in them and not shy, like my older sister Rose.
2. I will often (read: usually) tell you when you’ve done something wrong. I’m not a gossip like Essie, though, so I don’t usually post it for everyone to see. Rather, I will tell in person or in a warded journal entry, even if you don’t know me or aren’t friends with me. You can explain “your side” if you would like (not many people opt to do that, it seems), but it takes a lot to change my mind.
3. I have a black ball, which sort of looks like a miniature bludger, which I will throw at people. It’s fairly soft, so that it rarely hurts much or leaves bruises. I’ve never lost it as it is charmed to come back to my hand, though it has gotten me in a bit of trouble over the years.
4. “Respect your elders” is an idiom I believe older people made up to try to force younger people’s hands. Older does not mean wiser, and my respect for you is not based upon age, size, sex, etc.
5. There is no mercy on the quidditch pitch. Last year, I sent multiple people to the Hospital Wing as a result of my bludgers.
5 Things MY FRIENDS Know About Me
1. When we return to Hogwarts, if you first speak with excitement about returning to school (and not wishing me happy birthday), I will be in a foul mood toward you the rest of the night.
2. I petitioned specially to enter with the class of 2025, rather than 2026, which means I am absolutely the youngest 5th year in our class. It wasn’t that I was particularly eager for school in general because my mother had my sister and I go to a muggle school before attending Hogwarts (though I attended there one less year than my sister).
3. Muggle technology and culture is a part of our household, and I really love it. I am a huge fan of the Doctor. Pacman is a classic that I can score higher on than probably anyone else in the school. Magic: the Gathering is a muggle card game that I play, for which I have collected thousands if not tens of thousands of cards. Out of doors, I really love to play paintball.
4. I enjoy it when muggle and magical worlds meet (not in the sense of breaking the Statute of Secrecy). As such, I like charming muggle items to make them magical and the like.
5. Although I’m a decent student, I will put off doing homework to do something social with people. I am a very social person and like to be included in any social events going on.
5 Things NO ONE Knows About Me
1. The phrase, “I need alone time” does not resonate with me. I don’t understand it, and when I hear it, it gets interpreted as, “I don’t want to spend time with you right now.” It is one of the reasons I wonder if Rose would have preferred to be an only child and if she really likes me at all. Sure, she loves me, but that isn’t the same thing.
2. Even though working in the DMLE would pay me to tell people that they are wrong, I’m not particularly interested in it. I definitely don’t want to become an auror. I want to engage people more – and not just criminals. They don’t count. I’ll badger and pester almost anyone about almost anything to get a fair shot at something, but as much as reporters don’t bother me, I also don’t want to succeed just because of my last name. There’s so much family in the DMLE.
3. While I do collect chocolate frogs, there are certain glaring holes in my collection – such as the Harry Potter card. It’s common, but I don’t want to have chocolate frog cards of my family.
4. It often feels like I have to push myself upon my sister and my cousins to get them to spend time with me. So I am worried that they don’t want to, even when I’m invited if it is a group invitation. I am keenly aware of being the youngest Weasley and really wish someone else had had another kid or would – just so I wouldn’t be the baby.
5. Despite the fact plants really seem to hate me, I’m determined to scrape an A on Herbology, to show Professor Flux he didn’t make a mistake when he let me come in a year earlier. That’s the main reason I want 9 OWLs.
Hugo would love many storylines, expecially: friends, enemies, one ex-girlfriend, family plots and more!!!!!!! =D =D =D Love him. Hate him. Comment pls. (Also, I know I suck at replying to intros, sorry to Cindy, Stevie, Hayley and preemptively to Sarah...we want your plotses).
