I wanted to tell you all about the new game that I'm joining. Holds are open now and gameplay starts on April 3rd. It's going to be using Marvel Comic's Civil War as guideline, and playing through Mutant Rights and Superhero Registration. But it's going to be all AU and probably done better.

X-SWAP
Things are a little different. In this game, each character has had their powers swapped with another Marvel character. Charles Xavier, still the world's most powerful telepath in this universe, had opened a school to teach young mutants and allow older mutants to teach. Those are constants. But, for the rest, these characters' histories and personalities have always been dependent on their special talents and abilities. Now that they've been born with radically different ones, the outcome might be very different.
So what's new and different? And what's stayed the same?

You feel hands on your back pushing you forward. The momentum causes you to stumble through the threshold, and you are unable to catch yourself until a few steps in. The heavy gate slams shut behind you. You turn around to look, to see if any of the others have made it through, but you are the only one there. "So, you're the one." The feminine voice is pleasant, soothing, but it carries an authoritative note to it. As you turn toward it, you see a woman dressed in fatigues, dark hair pulled into a loose bun. She reaches out to brush something off your shoulder. "Don't worry. Darrell and the others are old pros. They'll take care of it." Clapping a hand on your back, she gently pushes you forward to walk alongside her.
"Where am I?" you blurt out.
"It's not so much a question of where, but when." She takes a moment to consider. "Well, I suppose, it could be a question of where, depending on where you came from." Where, you learn, is Novus, a settlement that started at least eight years ago. Since then, it has grown rapidly into its own, large enough to have several territories within it and a government structure. You, too, will join its ranks, but, first, you need to be properly acclimated to the new world.

It started with one world. Use of the crystals drew the attention of dark fiends, which led to its inhabitants increasingly seeking to conquer or destroy the planet. In response, four crystals were granted to four warriors to right the balance in the world. Though they suceeded, the world plunged into darkness again, and the gods, seeing it a failure, destroyed it and started anew. Their new creation fell to a greedy man calling forth Hell to do his bidding, and it was destroyed to prevent any other from calling the underworld to their side. Even lending their children some of their own power to prevent them from grabbing it on their own did not help when faced with a being who wanted to plunge everything into the void. That left a bad taste in their mouths, so they ended it, as well.
The creation and destruction cycle continued again and again. Over a dozen attempts later, the gods have reached a decision: They would have one final attempt to create the perfect world. Combining elements that they liked from each of their previous creations, they formed the planet and began to fill it with life. Some were souls who had made a home on other planets. Others were born onto the new world. In this attempt, the gods decided to be more directly involved in their creation with the hope that their influence would encourage their children toward the right path. Their presence, represented previously as the worlds' crystals, was now more indicative of their true nature. But, the gods are a temperamental sort...
Dawn of Rebirth is a Final Fantasy roleplay opening on October 25. Both canon and original characters are welcome from any of the games or their offshoots.

Exactly ten years have passed since the last Sorceress War. Not only have Squall Leonhart and his team gone on to become public figures in their respective fields of expertise, but the world itself has flourished. Esthar, the once reclusive technological marvel, lowers its cloaking devices in a show of faith to the rest of the world; the absence of Deling City's once tyrannical stronghold over the Galbadian continent allows the passion for transportation and telecommunication to make a triumphant return. A formerly sparse world map sees the reconstruction of towns desiccated by the strains of military occupation, and new settlements seem to pop up overnight.
People, however, are never far from conflict. Vinzer Deling was by no means the only man hungry for power, and the last decade has given rise to countless others poised for global domination. Religious zealots known as Hyne's Descendants decry the use of magic and Guardian Forces by those unworthy, and are rumored to have found ways of tampering with natural draw points to poison its users. Finally a group of concerned citizens, calling themselves Cultivators, advocate for the reformation or complete dismantling of Balamb, Galbadia and Trabia. In the absence of a Sorceress threat they are convinced Garden is but a breeding ground for trained mercenaries at the beck and call of the highest bidder.
Of course, those closely affiliated with the Gardens know that its services are needed now more than ever. A changing world leads to civil unrest, and there are fires big and small to be put out. Their mission statement may have begun with the protection of innocents against Sorceresses, but it certainly hasn't ended there. Our story carries on and the state of the future is still yet to be determined.

Lord Jashin, Help us get the jinchūriki
Sasori is dead. Deidara is without arms. The first Jinchūriki, Shukaku, has been obtained, and now the Akatsuki are after the Kyuubi. But the Leaf village is also after the Akatsuki, with the mission to destroy them all.
Hidan made prayers to Jashin for assistance in obtaining the Kyuubi; But Jashin made a mistake. He didn't give them more power, he started to pull people from other worlds and dimensions, bringing them to their world. Being outside of the Hidden Leaf Village when he made the prayer, everyone is showing up in Konoha. They don't know how many people were pulled, or when it'll stop, or how to get these people home. The Akatsuki would like to use the more powerful people to help them, but the Leaf Village is set on protecting them.

Carrigan Crittendon is getting more than fed up with the ghosts that haunt Whipstaff Manor. After being left the haunted manor in her father's will, Carrigan was angered... until she discovered that there was a treasure there. After that, she was determined to get rid of the ghosts, and she tried literally everything, from an exorcist to a ghostbuster. Her latest attempt, a ghost psychiatrist, seems to be working a little better (he and his daughter haven't run screaming from the mansion yet), but not fast enough. Finally, Carrigan decided she was going to have to get to that treasure whether the ghosts were out or not and enlisted a witch to cast a spell that would bring people to Whipstaff to help search--the ghosts couldn't run everyone away at once! Suddenly, people were appearing from many different fandoms and worlds, and all seem to be trapped in Friendship until the treasure is found.

Mutants rule, humans are being hunted and Sebastian Shaw is President while the X-Men are branded terrorists. Charles and Erik are doing their best to make a safe haven for the newly discovered mutants and to keep them from Shaw but danger is knocking at their door; the barest essentials are in short supply, there isn't enough food to go around. Free mutants and human's are targeted by Shaw's resistance task force, elite mutants who have been trained to track and apprehend threats and to recruit mutants to Atom, the new government power house. In the Reavers a new and different player has entered the field, as an anti mutant group compromised of humans who seek to reclaim their throne. Fights are daily, everyday life is non-existent. Atom is set in 1964, in a post apocalypse setting following real time. The game is canon compliant up until the point where the X Men stopped the Soviets from crossing into Cuba's waters. Atommod opened September 1 & we have a new, open membership comm atomdicuss for potential players to discuss plot lines, characters, relationships etc before applying!

Sebastian Shaw succeeded in starting World War Three. Nuclear warheads had devastating effects on the world, pollution sky rocketed, cities crumbled and there were mass shortages of even the most bare essentials throughout every country.
The children of the Atom have risen up under President Shaw, who leads the country from his seat in Washington, D.C. and the mutants are the dominant species now, out numbering humans five to one. While camps have sprung up in the most major cities, with Shaw rounding humans up and using them for labor to rebuild the cities and civilization as second-class citizens, he has recruited mutants to his side with the promise of acceptance in a new world.
A group called the Xmen were formed to fight Shaw and are the only one's who have a chance to stand up to Shaw and to protect humans and mutants alike.
Which side will you choose?
Atom is set in 1964, in a post apocalypse setting following real time. The game is canon compliant up until the point where the X Men stopped the Soviets from crossing into Cuba's waters and has other Marvel themes in play.

Have you ever read through a book and wished you were there? Now your favorite characters can travel through a variety of books. Thought about what it might be like if Harry Potter were tossed into Narnia? What if The Doctor woke up one morning and found himself mentoring a tribute in the Hunger Games? Perhaps Iron Man has received a letter to Hogwarts or Superman has landed in Wonderland. There are so many what if's that it would be impossible to discuss them all here, but we can always try our hand at a few.

My Jervis/Mad Hatter is looking to rebuild his Wonderland Gang, at Catch-22.
Apart from Alice Liddell, he's in dire need of the March Hare, possibly the Lion and the Unicorn. The Carpenter and the Walrus are also invited to the party. That said, I'm looking for Original Characters except in the case of the Carpenter. I am not interested in the comic canon characters for the rest. Jervis is a purist; he does not want a lady to take the role of the Hare, let alone a lady in high heels, fishnet stockings and Playboy bunny ears. As for the Dormouse... There's an abundance of rodents scampering around the City and his apartment. He's bound to trap one inside a teapot, or at least sedated and used as a table ornament.
