Owl: Lily Evans
(( No, seriously. If you tilt your head and squint, this totally belongs in the owl comm ))

Sent late the evening of the 19th, possibly interceptable before Lily arrives home

It had taken her a little longer than she'd wanted to get everything together. Then there'd been the distraction of the mark on her arm looking a touch more noticeable. That had sapped a couple of hours from her day as she'd contemplated it, and then the distraction of the dog who wanted to play too.

But her attention was drawn to blistered fingers and the reminder that she had a game to play, and it was her turn.

Licking her lips, tongue jutting out of the corner of her mouth, she focused very intently on the lily she held in her palm. First, she changed it to Gryffindor colors - that was sure to catch her attention. White petals turned red, edged with gold. Then an elaborate red and gold ribbon was wrapped around it before she tied a blank square of parchment to it.

It was pointless to play this game with Severus - he wasn't foolish enough to touch anything that came from her. But the Mudblood was a Gryffindor who probably would simply see the present for what it was.

The curse she attached to the flower was mild, for her. Upon contact with Lily's hand (or any human hand), the stem of the flower would grow quickly into thorny vines that would wrap around her. First her arm, then her shoulders and head and the rest of her body, impaling her with the thorns, suffocating and strangling her. Bella wouldn't get to see the torture, which was a shame, but surely Severus would appreciate the show.

With a smile, Bella sent the owl and the flower on its way.
