Temporary Residents
Van appeared on the grounds, moments before the others arrived, and looked to the windows of Ed's apartment. Some lights were still on, which meant that somebody was still awake. Good.

Not that he had any qualms about waking Ed up, even if it would mean dealing with a cranky Ed.

"No idea," Van said. "I've known him to stay up late sometimes, and not so late others. We'll just go in." He walked to the main entryway of the building and punched in the access code.

"There's four apartments per floor, and four floors per building," he explained. "The only exception is this one. Ed ended up merging apartments 3 and 4 to make one big one to fit everyone in it. And even if he's asleep, Brian's almost always awake. He doesn't need as much sleep as everyone else."

Stopping in front of the door, Van knocked a few times.

Edward has a terrible tendency to wander around the house while he's brushing his teeth. It drives Alfons nutty, Riza ignores it, and Al's used to it. William and Delilah are trying to teach their children not to do it, although Joseph seems to want to imitate his uncle, to his parents' consternation.

So he's near the door, his mouth full of toothpaste foam, and a toothbrush lazily hanging out of his mouth when there's a knock on the door. "Ah ge i!" he calls around the toothpaste, then sticks his toothbrush back into his mouth and opens the door. "... ohiice cosed," he says when he sees Van with four new people in tow.

	Edward gives Van a tired glare, then waves everyone in. "Hay ah," he says, then wanders back to the bathroom to spit and rinse.
