WHO: Alecto and Amycus Carrow
WHAT: Amycus returns home after the incident with Daphne.
WHERE: Carrow Hideout
WHEN: Backdated to the 17th in the middle of the night.
RATING: Probably High.
Even though the late afternoon had been a failure, Amycus had decided to grasp the more positive aspect the entire event. He had the desire to take a student under his wing and mold her into a perfect specimen. Of course, he had paid little attention to the protests that he had been welcomed with. Anyone else would have turned their head and wipe their mind clean of that particular person. It had been obvious throughout the years that Amycus was different. He rarely took no for an answer in any event that might fall within his grasp. Daphne Greengrass actions had been unexpected, but she contained potential within her to do brilliant things. Despite the fact that she had refused his request, he had already planned on forcing her to expose such talents. It was an utter waste that she hid most of them, especially behind the pages of a journal. That would all change soon though.
He had to admit silently that Alecto knew how to work her way with the young recruits. It all seemed easy to accomplish and mark a body as one of their own. The negotiations and everything following suit must only come with ease because of his inability to control his anger. No one really could blame him though with such feelings that erupted without warning, especially since he had become a master in the art of hiding with his sister. It was the waiting that became irritating. The events of late hadn't helped much either, especially since the pathetic Lestrange brothers failed to allow them a sliver into their plans. Of course, he enjoyed the pain that followed after such works, but their little minds couldn't come up with anything more useful then the predictable.
As he apparated away from the shop, he felt the blood pumping through his veins continuously, taking pleasure in such a feeling. Amycus knew the different possible outcomes that could have come to pass with the tip of a wand pointed to his chest, but he had been in far worse situations and managed to find a way through it all. However, he was more than certain that Daphne had never casted an unforgivable, knowing well that the first attempts were difficult to accomplish even for a skilled wizard. It did bother him that she had held back with small attack. With more visits, that would change though. She would learn from him to break from the shell that she engulfed herself within. All she needed was a bit of encouragement.
Amycus had chosen that the night hadn't concluded on that note. The stench of failure would not ruin the mood or the desire to continue hunt for the night. Hours had passed and many had laid lifeless in the middle of the street, before he had chosen to turn in for the night. It truly had been much later than he had done so alone in the past, which had probably not been the smartest choice. The appearance that he held was a dead give away after the second glance, unlike Alecto. The younger Carrow had the advantage there with her looks transformed to cease being recognized by glances.
Once the thought of returning home had been placed within his thoughts, he opened the door quietly in an attempt to avoid waking Alecto. However, he did know her fairly well. It would be only a matter of steps within their home that they had taken by force before she swooped upon him, which he never did mind. Unconsciously, he grazed the tips of his fingers over the dry scratches on his cheek and made his way into the foyer.
