Butterfly Effect: Authors' Notes and Outtakes: Chapter 4
Bard Linn: Hello everyone, and welcome back! We're sorry this is a shorter chapter, but they will be getting longer as we go along.
Kiraya: Once we get to Midgar, especially...
Bard Linn: The beginning scene with Vincent and Cloud training is based upon something featured in Mercedes Lackey's books, specifically the Winds and Storms trilogies.
Kiraya: And is utterly appropriate, and probably has been highly necessary on occasion, for the Turks to know. As for Elanor... she always manages to surprise us.
Bard Linn: We didn't know she was going to pull the trick with the tickets, either... until after we had written it.
Kiraya: Of course.
Bard Linn: I almost sort of feel bad about making Cloud go through this, except not, because... yeah, there are other things in his future.
Kiraya: I feel bad for Vinny, myself...
Bard Linn: He's going to shoot you if you keep calling him that.
Kiraya: :P
Bard Linn: I feel bad for Vinny-- er, Vincent... or Vin, too. On the other hand, Cloud gets the short end of the stick overall.
Kiraya: Hey, careful there. We don't want to give it away. :P
Bard Linn: True, true.
Kiraya: This chapter is almost more filler-ish material than anything else...
Bard Linn: Except it does deal with the very important parting scene, which is necessary, since we're still pretty much following canon. At the moment.
Kiraya: Give us a few chapters.
Bard Linn: *cough*11*cough* Leaving does mean that Zack and Seph are on their way, slowly but surely.
Kiraya: YAY ZACK. (Actually, I think I prefer our introduction of the General, myself...)
Bard Linn: (Ohhhh yes. 'Tis is much fun.) Well, I guess we should just close this up and stop tormenting you guys. We'll see you in another two weeks -- and no, poking is not going to make updates come faster! (You know who you are.)
