Title: Good Start to my Day

Summary: Written for Drabble Life Prompt #1 - Birth.

After hours of anxiously waiting to hold my son in my arms, he was handed to me. I peeked under the fold of the blanket and counted his fingers and toes. I caressed his cheek and he opened his eyes and looked at me. At that point, all the morning sickness and labor was worth it.

My son snuggled in closer and I knew I would never get tired of that feeling. Another nurse came in and asked me if I wanted any breakfast. I asked for a hard boiled egg. I got a second good start to my day.

Title: Birth... of a sort

Summary: Birth prompt -- BTVS fandom

Buffy looked around her, and realized that this scene had played in her mind so many times that it was starting to not phase her. She ripped the lining, the white silk was soft in her hands. She broke through the wood that made the coffin. She dug her way to the surface, her hands shooting out of the dirt. She scrambled to the surface, trying to calm herself. She wiped the dirt off of her shirt and her face. She stopped, her hands still. She gently rubbed the bumps that made up part of her face. They were raised and wrinkled. She felt the panic start. She put her fingers against her canines. They cut through the skin of one of her fingers. She licked up the blood that welled up on her finger before she stuck it in her mouth. She looked around and saw him in front of her. The monster that had made her one of them. She had trusted him and he had lead her to her own death... and birth.
