Rose
[Purchased with Daniel's assistance, a red gold necklace in diamonds. Daniel also transcribes a note for Henry, and he tries to clean his usual blocky script up to some extent. He is moderately successful, though still recognizable.]
A warm thing for the winter snow, my rose.
[It's a two hour argument of the men going back and forth to try to wheedle Daniel into making Henry's mark, a stylized HF with a lot of curlicues. (Daniel can't draw, he refuses to be an artist and there is a lot of pretentious belittling of the occupation, which is to say he's jealous of the relative skill necessary.) It's a good bet he doesn't even know they're initials, and he's stubborn about it. Finally Daniel gives it a go. It looks pretty bad, but it's recognizable.]
