Eloise M
[With the letter comes a single rose. The letter itself is written on ivory granite paper wrapped with a single half inch wide cut of ribbon and traditionally sealed with wax, imprinted with the letter A. The letter is written entirely in Alexander's own hand.]
Eloise,
The traditional beginning to a letter is always to ask how the recipient is. I hope you are well and this letter finds you in all the good cheer that you can find. I, myself, am well and considering a party. I have already spoken to Chloe about it, along with her current romantic inclinations and believe we have worked out a suitable arrangement for her. Let it never be said that I would ever fail my sisters when they had need of me.
Did you know that last Tuesday was a blue moon, in the most traditional sense? I sat beneath her and wondered if you, too, were watching it from your window. Maybe you stood outside beneath it, let her silver light roll over you, or maybe you went out early when she appeared red. I did, but there was no bath of red light to make me look as if I had bathed instead in blood (I continue to hold out hope to one day make this true, but I refuse to wait idly).
However, it did afford me a better look at my hunkered damsel. She is livening up quite nicely, though she smells constantly now of lemon and pine from the cleaning and polishing products that have been lovingly massaged into her grains. When I think we are finally finished, I shall invite Chloe over as she could pick out a stray cobweb the way an owl finds a mouse in a field. Until then, visitors will be limited to you and my household staff (you, always, they know you are to be permitted access to me at all hours of the day and night).
I shall end this by sending you my love and my sincere hope to see you shortly on my doorstep.
All my devotion,
Alexander
