It had been a very long night. As expected, Daryn had been writhing in pain for hours. She'd tried her best to fight through it, but it eventually became too much for her. At that point, attempts at restless sleep had failed and she'd curled into the fetal position, sobbing and clawing at her head. Finally, the pain began to gradually subside and she fell into a deep, much needed sleep.
It wasn't until early afternoon the next day when Daryn began to stir and wake. She felt considerably better now, thankfully, but was left weak as her body worked to completely recover. Opening her eyes slowly, she blinked into focus and looked around, unsure of the time and if Jonas was still there.
