Seeley Booth walked up to his partner's office with a spring in his step, humming as he went. Grabbing the door frame as he passed through it, his humming became vocal.
"Nnn-Doodeeeedoodeedoo--" He slid across the freshly waxed floor, right up to her desk, and bent down to sing right by her ear-- "doodoodeedooodooo--"
Temperance shoved her chair back, making a noise of frustration, and stood to face him, her eyes wide with irritation as she looked him in the face.
"We all heard you humming 'Strange Things in the Night,' Booth," she admonished him. "We are all aware you had sex last night." With that, she pushed past him and Angela, who had just come to speak with her, without a backward glance.
Booth turned quickly to call after her: "I'm just in a good mood because it's a pretty--" his voice faded to normal speaking level-- "day out...Bones." He glanced to his side to see a grinning Angela. He shook his head, eyes wide. "Wow."
"Wow, indeed," she agreed.
"Any idea what that was all about?"
Angela gave him a look, then smiled, saying, "Sweetie, I really think you need to figure that one out on your own. It's actually pretty sad you haven't already." She patted him on the shoulder, then turned to go...
...And, Special Agent Seeley Booth found himself staring in bewilderment at the back of a woman for the second time in what had started out to be a beautiful morning.
