Blind Date (tag: Harmonia)
How in the name of Hades did he end up here? Why had he ever thought that having a few drinks with the Queen would be fun? Zelos knew that he should have left the minute she came in the throne room that day. But no. He needed to talk to somebody and Hera was willing to listen to him. He actually spent time re-evaluating his previous opinion about his Queen.
She had been nice to him. She didn’t put up with any of his bullshit, either. There were a lot of people that thought that the way he copied a certain other god’s behavior was acceptable. Not Hera. She flat out told him that if he wanted to clean up his reputation, then he needed to stop acting like such an ass. He was going to take her advice to heart and change his lifestyle.
Then Hera announced that he was going on a date and that Iris would arrange everything. And that apparently included who the date was with. He should have said no. He should have, but he didn’t. He had sworn an oath pledging his life to the rulers of Olympus. He and his siblings would do whatever was commanded of them. (And Zelos was extremely grateful that no one had taken advantage of that) So he did what all the good Styxlings did, he had agreed and thanked Hera for helping him.
So there he was sitting in the finest restaurant, wearing his finest suit, sipping the finest scotch. Waiting. With no idea who he was waiting for. He was just going to have to have faith that Hera would make the right choice for him.
He looked up and saw her. It had to be her. It couldn’t be her. Who else could it be? This was not in his best interest. “She wants me to die,” he said, muttering under his breath as he stood up and held a chair for his surprise date. “You look as lovely as ever. Thank you for coming tonight."
