Dealing With Ninkasi
Was it possible to frown any harder or deeper than he was, Enlil would have. He was not the fondest of Taweret as it was, but the nicknames and jibes were not necessary. However, he had to concede that she did have a point. Ereshkigal, and by proxy then Enki and all their respective mother, would not be pleased by Ninkasi's deteriorating physical condition if this continued to escalate. But stepping in sooner would have disabled her ability to defend herself. What did she expect him to do? He had no power over that feral cat or the bastard son of Zeus.
Sighing deeply, he uncrossed his arms and stepped into sight range of his niece, trusting that shortly Dionysos would be pulled away safely and secured. Trying to stifle a bit of a smirk, she'd made quite the mess of the mental mortals that had dared to threaten her safety. Good girl. His sons would be proud.
When he did speak, the voice was not conversational, it was resonate. It was the voice of one who spoke the words of Anu, the whose decrees were unchangeable. In Sumerian, over the din of fighting, he called out, “Ninkasi of Dilmun, enough! Drop your blades and stand down. At once.” His tone left no room for argument.
Then again, this was Enlil. His word was unchangeable and it was law. Unless he changed his mind and he'd only done that once in noted history.
The question was, was she too far gone to comply and he'd have to bring family in?
