Thoth had been actually rather excited for the masquerade. He found the entire concept really fascinating. Even the classic masquerades of centuries' passed were such creative plays on pretending what you did and did not know. Some wore masks that intentionally didn't hide who they were because they cared not about hiding it. Some went out of their way to hide who they were, which often gave the impression that the one behind the mask had something to hide. Some wore masks that were just enough to lend doubt as to identity, some intrigue, but not always certainty and interesting social behaviors came from it. Utterly fascinating.
His suit was a simple black, but with a gold tie. But that was only because it match the black and gold harlequin painted mask and it had been pointed out that it would look nice. Which, it did.
As did the décor and venue for the masquerade, as Seshat had just pointed out. “Yes,” he answered with a smile, but something about her seemed not enthused. Perhaps it was the dress? It was a bit outside the sorts of garments she normally wore. “It looks very nice. And so do you.” It was a bit uncharacteristic, but, Thoth wanted her to relax and have a good time.
