An Uphill Battle with Apathy - [open]
It wasn't something Enyo ever though she would say, but the chaos in the sandbox was getting monotonous and therefore... was no longer holding any interest for her. It was basically the same exact thing over and over again and at this point, until someone was willing to something in even a remotely new fashion, or at least on a grander scale, she needed to wash her hands of it. It wasn't her territory anyway. Technically. It was Nergal's. Sort of.
And she hadn't even had the delight of catching a glimpse of him out there to make inhaling that dust and having to rinse sand out of every crevice on her body for days after leaving worthwhile. So, that was out. Perhaps she could go stick her nose in the Russia-Ukraine business. The Slavic gods were cranky but, hey... she could pick a side and throw some wrenches in that mess.
The only other option was to start a mess of her own somewhere and that would require some planning and probably a partner of some sort, willing or not.
She'd think about that later.
Right now Enyo was enjoying both the lovely and the ridiculous parts of the Christian Louboutin Fall/Winter 2014 collection in their Barcelona store. It gave her something to think about other than her lack of a proper violent outlet to be... well... what she was supposed to be. But, it was making her feel a bit... anxious. A goddess of war without a war to fight was annoying. A goddess of violence without a violent outlet was just energy that was not being expressed. A goddess of blood and bloodshed and no reason to spill it because of the previous two problems... was a problem all of its own.
“I need this in a 36,” she said to the clerk that was working, indicating a violet heel with cutouts. “And these as well,” she gestured then to the plain royal blue suede pumps.
This was what she had resorted to. Shopping to fill time and distract from the fact that she wasn't doing the work she was supposed to do. This was just dreadful. “I need a hobby,” she muttered under her breath.
