Bored, Bored, Bored (Dionysos)
There was nothing to do. No crisis to avert. No family member in danger. No girl to hide from Hera. Nothing. Zelos was not overly fond of having nothing to do. It gave him too much time to dwell in his own head. That always had the possibility of going badly.
Rivalry went to the throne room, hoping that Zeus was there and had some assignment for him. No such luck. The room was empty. He shouldn’t be surprised. His king had a life outside of this room. So did Zelos. It just seemed to be on hold at the moment.
One good thing about throne rooms was that they always seemed to be very big. High ceilings and long halls. Zee supposed that making people walk that long way from the door to the throne was to intimidate them and give the king time to study his subject. It was a smart design. And a fun one.
Zee smiled to himself and unfurled his wings. High ceilings were made for flying. He slowly lifted of the floor towards the rafters. There wasn’t enough room to do any real flying, but it gave him the chance to stretch his wings. But even that was only entertaining for a while.
He could go out and find something fun, he just couldn’t decide what he wanted to do. Nothing was interesting at the moment. Zee supposed that things would pick up now that American football was starting. He loved football. Not watching it, just enjoying the benefits from it. The rivalries that sport caused kept him happy for a long time. He loved to make sure they stayed rivals for a very long time.
For now, however, he was just bored. Zelos turned so he was facing the ceiling, quite a few feet off the floor, and pulled a tennis ball out of Concept. He tossed it against the ceiling, catching it as it bounced back. The steady rhythm did nothing to ease his boredom.
“Seriously,” he said, complaining out loud. “Is there nothing interesting to do today?”
