Good Run of Bad Luck (tag: Anteros, later Harmonia)
One of the problems Philotes had, a problem most wouldn't consider a problem at all, was that she had a vast number of friends. In all honesty, pretty much everybody she met she considered a friend. So keeping up with all of them could get a bit tricky from time to time. Oh, she made time for special people in her life. The slumber party with Harmonia and Idun, for example. But then there were times when she looked at her calendar and realized she hadn't seen somebody for a while.
Like Anteros. She was pretty sure she'd seen him at the Halloween Party, but she hadn't really talked to him there. And she hadn't talked to him before that for... wow, a really long time. Which made her feel horribly guilty, because she adored Anteros. All of the erotes, really, were very special to her. Mostly because they understood affection in a way that many others could only marginally comprehend. They got her, and it was comfortable for her to be around them because she could totally be herself. And she hoped they felt the same way.
Which they wouldn't if she didn't spend any time with them and let them know that she still loved them to bits and piece. So Lottie threw together a quick batch of peanut butter cookies, with kisses in the middle obviously, and headed for Anteros' condo in California. After she knocked, Lottie had a sudden burst of doubt. What if he wasn't home? She hadn't really called or anything. Or worse, what if he was home, but he looked through the peephole, saw it was her, and decided to pretend he wasn't home because she'd abandoned him for so long? Oh! That would be awful!
Lottie knocked again, a bit more urgently and called out, “Ter? You in there? I brought cookies.”
