Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Beginning! and some other tidbits
So - we have an opening. Here it is. I've also posted an entry to [info]modacious on how to label threads.

As for the main plot, I decided to go with the Mutant Registration Act.

Government deviousness can follow, but this is a good start, I think. Perhaps when individuals go to register, they're given some sort of drug or prescription or something fun like that. We can add in little bits of fun as things go.

And I think mutant hate groups could play a part as well, either sooner or later. Whenever someone gets antsy, drop me a line and we can work 'em in.

But, so far as the timeline goes, feel free to post anytime on or before the date of the only IC thread up so far. The timeline that was posted is moderately inaccurate, so far as the year goes. We're working in April of 2009 for this game.

Feel free to post up new-thread responses to the MRA itself, or the fact that the Professor is off to see the wizard or anything in general.

-Beck

If we feel like something should be added to the timeline do we post it at the timeline thread?

Also, can Elixir be part of the junior X-men team?

In the timeline, it says 'among others' when referring to the younger team, because I knew there were others who are considered part of that group, but I didn't feel the need to specify, seeing as the 'taken' page lists everyone who is part of the team as 'X-MEN' and those who aren't part of the team as 'CONSTITUENTS'. I suppose I could break it down even more so - elder X-Men and younger X-Men, but they're all the same in Charles' eyes. ;)

As for adding to the timeline, it's only there so we know what was going on when. If an event happened near something that was mentioned, and we've seen the films, then we know where it goes, lol. There's plenty that's left out. It's just there so we know what year we're in and how much time has elapsed, it's not there to show what happened before now, because I think we all have a pretty good idea.

I'm going to be keeping track of threads, though, with the location, date and individuals involved, so we can keep track of things current and backdated, both.

Hope all this helps,

-Beck

I forgot to mention! The reason behind my thought that most people affiliated with the X-Men would be on the team is that they should be 18+ to do any fooling around, and Charles requires his X-Men to be that age, at the very least. So, the only people that should be getting any smut (with persons over 18) are persons over 18. And the only people on the team are those who are 18+ and have volunteered. If they don't want to fight, he won't make them. :D
