comings and goings
Who: Prof X, Storm, Beast & Wolverine
When: April 6th, 2009
Where: Xavier's office
What: The MRA (Mutant Registration Act)
Status: complete
Rating: PG

After all was said and done, the four individuals knew what had to be done - for the sake of the school and the children within it, and for all their kind.

Xavier expressed his concerns about Cyclops to his three colleagues. Clearly, Scott Summers was in no shape to run the school alone or with someone, and Charles Xavier was on his way out the door.

Earlier in the week, there had been mention of the return of the MRA in the media, and only today was it confirmed. Hank McCoy had arrived to escort Xavier to Washington DC so the two had better odds of overcoming the representatives and lawmaking individuals involved.

With Scott's condition and the semi-crisis for their kind happening so suddenly (but not surprisingly - after the events at Alkali Lake were considered), Ororo Munroe was called on to be the caretaker of the Xavier Institute until his return, and to be Xavier's right hand afterwards.

The Professor pleaded with Wolverine to stay and assist Storm. He'd had some experience babysitting, after all.

After assisting the Professor with packing and having a brief consultation about the school's upkeep, Storm stepped outside the front doors to see Beast and the Professor off. Weighing on her mind was more than the safe passage of her two friends, but the safety of the school, the wellbeing of mutantkind, and the less pressing tidbit that had also graced most varieties of media; Magneto had located and freed Mystique.

After Jean's death and Scott's breakdown, things seemed to be getting worse, still. The wind had quickly changed.
