Under fire from conservative Christians who want his help in a drive to loosen restrictions on evangelizing by military chaplains, John Warner sought cover Tuesday night on the Senate floor.

"I am being besieged," Virginia's senior senator said. "I am sorrowful that people attack me personally as if I had no religious foundation."

Warner, a Republican, is among the prime targets of a telephone, letter-writing and e-mailing campaign by evangelicals who want Congress to ensure the right of military chaplains to pray in public "according to the dictates of their own conscience."

"Jesus Camp"

I know it's been posted about "Jesus Camp" before, but off of the Best Week Ever website, of all places, I got a link to the ABC News segment on it uploaded to YouTube. I think it's great that it's being posted in places like Best Week Ever where a lot more people might see it rather than just those interested in the events and effects of religion and politics.

Seeing these children acting like this just made me so sad and only confirms to me what I've read here and elsewhere that people my age are going to be stuck between generations of religion fanatics.

I'm linking the video behind a cut. Possible triggers.

Dr. Phil has a real scary group on right now.

The group is called Aggressive Christianity and it is run like a military unit. It's scary. I've never heard of these people.
