Just a modly reminder that unless you have your birth date including year posted on your user info page, you will not be accepted for membership to csi_lv_slash. You have to be 18 years old or older to be a member, and your birthdate is the way I determine that.

If you've recently applied for membership to the comm but haven't heard that you're in, please check your user info page to be sure I can see your birthdate.

It's been pretty quiet around here. With the writers on strike and the good probability that there will be no new episodes of CSI (or dozens of other shows) until the fall of '08 at the earliest, we need to do something to keep the CSI love alive. (NOTE: CBS.com says an episode called Bull will be showing this Thursday at the usual time. It's a new ep as far as I can tell!) You're all welcome to post here, as you know. When you have a random CSI thought that you'd like to discuss with fellow fans, put it up here and invite comments!

We have a few new members now. Maybe a round of reintroductions is in order. I'm your mod, elmyraemilie, and I've been a CSI fan since I came across my first CSI slash story on The Tenth Muse's fic site. I can even tell you exactly what day it was--November 19, 2004, because I posted about it in my journal. I started watching on Spike TV to see old episodes as well as new shows on Thursdays. I'm so glad I started in time to watch Grave Danger when it originally aired. Besides that, some of my favorite episodes are Jackpot, Who Shot Sherlock, King Baby, Kiss,Kiss, Bye, Bye, and Lady Heather's Box. Least favorite? Pirates of the Third Reich, which I will probably never watch again, not because it was a bad episode (and you have to admit there are a few pretty lame ones) but because of the subject matter in general.

So--comment here or make a separate post and tell us something about yourself, or make a fic rec, or whatever. With a great show and great characters, we've certainly got things to talk about!

2. Put artwork and stories behind a cut. Directions on how to do this can be found here. Exceptions: posting up to three icons as a sample of the ones behind the cut, and stories of 200 words or less which do not contain graphic sex or violence.

3. Plagiarism will not be tolerated. Anyone posting plagiarized material will be banned, the material will be removed, and the true author/artist will be notified.

4. Crossovers are great, as long as at least one of the primary characters is a member of the cast of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

5. No real person stories.
