| About: | You may recognize the characters. You should recognize the setting--a dusty Wyoming cattletown in 1870, five years after the end of the American Civil War. It's a town carving itself out of dust and blood, where young families build up dreams and big cattlemen crush them down. It's a world where Hatake Kakashi is the drifting gunslinger known as Shadow, a world where nothing is what you expect and where a man without a gun is already dead. It's Horsehead, Wyoming, and it's got its own Boot Hill. Before You Read... 1. This is a closed community, a collaborative novel written by Kilerkki, JB, and Dark and focusing on Alternate Universe versions of three of their characters from the ANBU collaborative writing community fallen_leaves.2. cowboy_ninja is a spin-off community; it is not related to Fallen Leaves except in its genesis. Character interactions and plots from Fallen Leaves may not be reflected in Cowboy Ninja, and vice versa.3. Cowboy Ninja also derives its inspiration from the basic principles of the Western genre. Small degrees of anachronism are acceptable, but we try to do our research. We consider classic Western movies and books to be totally a good place to start. So is Wikipedia. 4. Although Cowboy Ninja's characters are based on the characters at Fallen Leaves, they are not necessarily the same.
