WHO: Annie Wheaton and OPEN
WHAT: Arriving in Colligo.
WHEN: Late evening
WHERE: Outside the Grand Library.
RATING: TBD
STATUS: In Progress
Anytime that Annie woke up in a strange place, she was immediately on edge. When she woke up and her sister wasn't nearby, it was worse. However, waking up in a strange place, without her sister, and with others around that were strangers to her? That was downright disastrous.
So really, it was no surprise when the young woman went from wary to downright terrified in a matter of a few seconds after finding herself in a library that she didn't know and with moving statues that were walking toward her. It also would have been no surprise for anyone who knew her that she immediately and rather instinctively reacted with her ability rather than any form of communication that most would recognize.
The only problem was, her abilities didn't seem to work. She couldn't so much as make the ground shake, or fling a book off of a shelf. No matter what she tried it simply didn't work.
On the verge of hysteria, she offered little resistance as the statues led her from the library to a pair of large doors. She simply stared at the ground and did her best to ignore them, clutching her doll tightly to her chest as she walked. Once she was outside, she peered curiously at the device that they gave her before stuffing it inside one pocket and finally working up enough nerve to peer almost curiously up at them with her head tilted a bit in silent question.
If a conversation took place it certainly wasn't one that involved words, and after a second the statues returned to the library and left her standing on the stairs by herself.
Once again fear nearly overwhelmed her as Annie slowly peered out at a large city that was bustling with activity even with the lateness of the hour. Her doll was held even more snugly against her as her gaze flickered upward, to the monorail system, before looking back to the streets. A few feet away, a smattering of small pebbles that littered the ground began to shake and tremble. As a bus drove past and honked at a pedestrian that darted out in front of it, the pebbles shot up in all directions and began pinging off of passing cars and the windows of the library itself.
Annie, meanwhile, kept her focus on the top of her doll's head. Her lips were turned downward in a small frown, her brow furrowed. She didn't move from where she'd stood since exiting the library nor did she intend to take a step if she could help it. No, she much preferred to simply stay where she was for the time being as she waited for her senses to settle a bit. So with the single-minded determination that she typically possessed, she began to reach out with her mind once again. Instead of looking for Sister or Steven, though, she was searching for anyone who might be able to help her. And she wasn't moving from where she stood until she'd found them... or, rather, they found her.
