WHEN: August 27th

RATING: PG
STATUS: In Progress
Angela had been forced to face a lot of demons lately. The spell in alternative selves had given her a new perspective on her boys and a found understanding of Gabriel in a way that she had perhaps never thought of him before. But the confrontation that had come not long after all of that had faded and left her with a completely different perspective to consider, exactly what she would have done if Gabriel had stayed true to the path that he had set himself out onto after her lie.
It had...surprised her, to say the least, that he had done such a radical turn around in the short amount of time that he had been under the belief that he was her son. He had saved Noah's life. He had saved Claire's life. He had saved the life of some random girl, and he had, most surprisingly of all, spared her from a death most foul and spared Peter from having blood on his hands two times over. Not that Peter had told her about the second part, but she could always count on her most trusted agent and dearest friend after Noah to be honest with her about everything that had happened during the confrontation with Arthur.
She had, perhaps, been vaguely disappointed when he had decided to stay with Arthur instead after getting Peter away from Pinehearst. And she had attempted to keep up the lie after his invasion of Primatech not only because she had thought that the truth would provoke him to violence, but because she had, in part, realized that the lie was what he would have wanted to hear. The truth was painful. Unimaginably painful. Which she was sure that he had found out by now. And Angela had learned long ago that sometimes, sometimes it was better to spare someone's feelings with a lie than it was to tell them the truth and destroy their world.
Especially since the world that the Gabriel had had been under the impression of a lie had been so wonderful, more so than the Sylar that she knew ever would have been able to manage.
It was these realizations that had brought her to door of Noah's room in their apartment, leaning up against the door frame and knocking quietly. She hadn't been able to explain as well as she could have during their initial discussion since she had been caught unaware, and Noah had been running on pure emotion. Now, though, with their feelings calmed, and both able to think more fully about the situation, perhaps it would be easier to sort through all of it.
